quick question.. the '27 fling boogie' is 27 binbags isn't it??? I seem to actually not be making any progress at all.. I have been flinging and flinging and flinging for the last 3 years and I have got absolutely nowhere, I am STILL finding stuff that is flying out that door!.. where does it all come from??

The last 2 weeks I have got rid of about 25 binbags of stuff.. not half full binbags.. so full they practically split.. and it is not noticable at all!!

    What am I doing wrong??

Nowhere actually looks any tidier than before I started this.. am I just a failure or is everyone else messing it faster than I tidy?? I am a bit disheartened with all this trying.

After that moan.. I am turning the music up LOUD and vacuuming the landing and stairs!!!

pigpen I think you need to find out who is sneaking all this stuff in if you are throwing it out at that rate and not making a dent!

I also think you should start getting everyone involved and make a chart with jobs for everyone to do!

Well I got most of the uniforms washed today, just DS1s to go in as he was the only one at school, managed to get DS2s coat washed too, he's been rolling around the floor all week I think. Got soem of DS1s room sorted and most of the dailies. I've crashed for an hour today, could call it flying fatigue, spent an hour in bed after feeling very ill and dizzy. Will try to complete my tasks this evening after DP goes to work.

Chardonnay, unfortunately the delegating doesn't work, was lucky DP helped move furniture yesterday but he's stopped doing any housework help, novelty wore off with the lists, and has doesn't touch washing up, washing, cooking, cleaning floors etc etc. In fact he has no idea how to switch the cooker, washer, drier etc on :rotfl: never has, he'd need a map to find the kitchen. Has offered to buy me a dishwasher but I think it'll make me lazy and keep refusing (plus means loosing a cupboard, which I don't have enouh of anyway. Dailies are all done by me now, even if he only works 3 nights a week, it's easier than the headache I get if I ask him to help. He did watch DS2 for me today when I went back to bed, but was in the same place on the sofa when I came back down. DS2 will help in his own little way on a weekend, he likes doing cupboard fronts etc. He helps bake too :)
One day I might be more organised...........

oooooo you're a hard task master lol :D

So far so good, got 2 bags rubbish, 4 bags clothes sorted for charity, two boxes of stuff ready to freecycle, and nothings been shoved into the spare room ...... yet! :p still need to do some more sorting, make up the bed and hoover but will have to wait till OH gets home to help me sort some of his stuff out, but at least it looks a lot better than it did this morning :T

Thanks for pushing me on to do it moggins, you're a star :A

Ok.. I think I am dead.. if I'm not.. I wish I was!!!

It has taken this long to vacuum the landing (11ft x 8) the loo (5ft x 3 .. the same one it took me 2 hours to clean the other day) and the stairs.. well.. 4/5 of them.. the hose isn't long to do the others without moving plug sockets.. or pulling the vacuum down the stairs onto my head.. and I've done that on several occasions!.. so I am using this moment to get my breath back and have a cuppa before I bring the vacuum downstairs.. it weighs a ton! Not helped of course by the fact every man, child and dog wants to be up and down the stairs like fitness freaks!! I swear I will be fit and healthy befoe this house is clean!

I keep looking at the rooms I have done.. and are still remotely tidier.. and try to convince myself every room will be tidy eventually.. I'm managing maybe one more room of tidiness each week.. but with 12 rooms.. it is getting a bit long winded.

My theory on the junk is.. there is so much packed in the stuff at the bottom is compressed so it is wafer thin.. once you remove the stuff off the top it plumps itself up again and expands into the space.. is this logical??

Uniforms are in the washer, coats need washing too.. and I made DD1 strip her bed before she went out to a sleepover.. how mean am I?? lol... AND I made her use her own money to pay for cinema.. is that truly wicked of me?? I literally haven't a penny in my purse so she had no choice if she wanted to go really... she thought that was out of order!!!

Her bedroom door opens about 8 inches.. JUST enough for her to get in and out .. so she may come home to a tidy bedroom.. and I am thinking of leaving the girly room another week.. let's face it it couldn't get worse!!!

It is unreasonable of me to clean my 15 year old sons room????

I am sick of it, it is literally 3ft deep in swill, it keeps spilling onto the landing and he thinks I shouldn't clean it (ie fling everything out).. what do you lot think?? I have been asking him nicely for about 8 months to clean it properly, bring all the clothes out which he has outgrown and all the cutlery and crockery which appears to be missing. We have tried bribery, grounding (I lasted 2 months before he drove me insane and I threw him out!) threats (death, disembowelment, garrotting, dissection, that I'd do it) I think now he is wanting me to do it.. and I don't mind!

Right.. best feed the gremlins and then I can fling them in bed and watch stargate in peace!!

  • Not a happy bunny - thought I was done and could relax for the day but ds (2.5yrs) obviously didn't think it was a good idea.

He half-inched a yoghurt while I wasn't looking and proceeded to try and open it in the lounge. I spotted him at the last minute - imagine blockbuster hollywood comedy movie and the stunt that followed was along those lines! Needless to say I was covered, ds was covered, dd was grumbling it was on her socks and it liberally decorated the carpet. How can 1 pot of yoghurt go so far?

    WM on, floor scrubbed.

Sharing todays silly moment because it amused me!

I was dressing DD5 (2) today (at 2:40pm).. yes she actually got into clothing today lol

She was laid on my lap and looking out of the window..

    'Look!' she says 'cows.. MOOOO!!!!!!!!!!'

I looked.. no cows.. so I asked 'Where?'

    'Up there. Cows.. MOOOOO!!!!'

'Clouds baby.. CLOUDS!!!! and they do not moo!!'

*shrug*.. definitely her dads daughter this one!
