Pigpen, you are allowed to carry over through the weekend and crack the whip with the kids too. Tell them Auntie Moggins will be doing room inspectionOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
:hello: Pigpen - big hugs and sympathy here. You made me laugh and I have every sympathy for the sheer volume of mess you have to deal with - hard enough with two full time and two part time children.
I have visitors on Sunday so full clean today, and a run to supermarket and butchers. I got a new Dyson yesterday, have given up on the nine month old electrolux which is a pile of pants. Did upstairs yesterday - including childrens rooms - so I am ahead. Ground floor is in a bit of a state though, including the bit were the dining room ceiling collapsed on Tuesday....Its ok, there are beams under the chipboard :j Still have a few boxes to unpack, and some more books to put on the three new bookcases. Outside is a mess because of the winds yesterday. I would much rather be gardening, but I have to make myself do the house.
Spare a happy thought for Lynzpower who has finally exchanged and has old place to clear and new place to clean. :j'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Morning all; evening Denise!
Had a busy week at w*** (did an extra day, so it's sent my plans back a day). I've packed DH and the children off (in the wind) and sitting having my breakfast.
Will be starting on the kitchen (which needs lots doing today).
I'm then doing the dining room, which needs a quick tidy, then a good clean (dusting, sweeping foor, polishing furniture).
I need to clean the bathroom, and plan to sort the chest in there (but this may not be today).
I have some paperwork to do, which I'll probably do when I take a break later.
I've been struggling with not having my cleaning stuff all together when I go from room to room. I made a Flylady Basket. I pulled out a plastic basket, and have filled it with polish, Stardrops, Jif, windowcleaner, cloths, tissues, old toothbrush. I hope it will streamline my cleaning and stop my procrastinating. I'll post a photo later - the basket has started to perish and I'd like another, so would like hints as to where I can buy another.
I also have a Flylady Bag, which is filled with items for doing paperwork (pens, stapler, sharpener, rubber, pad, scissors, sellotape, greetings cards, calculator, etc). It's been a boon to getting paperwork done.
Off to set the timer..........

Right, i'm tackling son's room today but only have an hour so might not get it finished. It's not too bad as we had a pre-christmas blitz in there and he's kept it reasonable. I'm going to get both children to sort out my daughters room and tell them they can go to the allotment at the weekend if they do it. They love it up there because of all the worms and mud so that should get them motivated.
Have a fun day everyone xxJanuary budget

Morning all :hello:
Came down this morning to find that OH hadn't done anything last night after I went to bed except wash some dishes this morning before going for his bath. I think I'm going to take a leaf out of Lil_me's book and print out a list which can go on the wall then maybe OH will start doing a nighttime routine as well so I don't have to come down to his mess the next day  You can just tell of a morning who went to bed last... if the livingroom is tidy then it was me, if there are still remotes on the table, cushions misplaced, stuff dumped on the desk then it was OH  Maybe I might make tonight financial meeting spill over into a "can you try and tidy up after yourself?" talk as well :shhh:
Today I think I'm going to do one of my marathon cleaning sessions where I blitz the whole house top to bottom...note this means hoovering & dusting basicallySo...

Well DS2 has decided he has a poorly tummy and is off school (I think there may be something else putting him off and will try to suss that out today) but I now also have to take my sister to buy something, basically they sold a weights bench last night as were promised another, rang the uncle who promised it and he'd sent it to the tip! God how annoying, anyway they don't have a car so I have to go to where they have one in stock (15 miles away) oh joy! Can't see me etting much flying done at this rate.
Nicki most of mine are edited from the https://www.chartjungle.com website. I find without clear set out instructions the man in my life does 'SOD ALL' and even if it's wrote down it can be a struggle. One day I might be more organised...........
