Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
at least talc smells ok.. yoghurt goes rancid if you miss a bit! I'd lose the 2 year old!! lol
One of mine did it with baby powder.. and the baby ended up in hospital with a really bad asthma attack lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pigpen with the kids rooms it's up to you, personally if mine were teens I would empty the room of everything that makes it a mess into sacks, and put them outside, if they want it back it's one bag at a time and done so it's tidy. My Dad did it to me and it worked. With the cinema money, she'll thank you for it when she is older, I thank my parents now for making me budget and buy things myself, but I hated them for it back then.
Love the Cows in the sky, what a little treasuremust agreed sudocrem is a nightmare to get out, especially from carpets, stood on a tub once, what a mess! I don't buy talc any more after several similar experiences, one was my fault
, didn't check the cap, tipped and the lot came out and a little one with asthma (plus reading what other things talc can do) Anything like talc powders etc tends to vacuum out ok, just don't wet it.
I think the bigest mess I ever had to deal with was my son trying to make himself breakfast while I was getting the other out of the bath, biggest bowl of coco pops ever, 4 pints of milk and a full box! Thank god for the vax and hard floors, just sucked the lot up and cleaned out the vax then mopped it as it was icky sticky!
Just had to ring vets, dog decided to eat banana skins out of the composting bin, needed to make sure it won't hurt him. They've both got a bizarre taste for raw fruit and veg, especially sprouts. Just had to pull another skin off them which they had took to the garden to eat and were fighting over it.One day I might be more organised...........

:rotfl: I loved those funny stories pigpen and hope.
Well my plan of attack actually worked! :j Twas OH's day off today, and so I decided with the success of last week (he cleaned the microwave for me), that I would try and push it a little bit more (train him back into the habit of doing some housework). I made a deal with him, that if he did his tasks, I would make his tea when he got up this morning (he usually makes the tea, and wanted a day off as it was his day off work). I put a piece of paper on the fridge for him called "Moon's Missions" (my nickname for him - long story), as he is into army stuff, and thought this would appeal to that side of him.
His missions were:- Clean the oven
- Clear hall table (his hotspot for mail etc)
- Hoover (generally, as we live in a flat so carpet gets dirty quickly)
Try to clear some of the TV room so that mouse can have some of her friends over (there was nowhere to sit, as his tools had started to be piled into the TV room all over sofa number 2).
He did it all!!!!! :TEnjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
:T Well done sexymouse, do you hire your Moon Man out :rotfl: ?
I've got a few things done, DS1s room still needs work (managed to fill 3 sacks of clothes that don't fit from in there & a 27 fling aswell just out of his room) but will work on that over the weekend, hopefully I'll feel a bit better then. Have done the rest of Moggins list now, just need to hang washing out when finished and that is all the uniforms done. Daily jobs are done apart from washing up tea dishesnearly forgot to feed the animals, so pleased I have my list sometimes as my heads like a seive.
One day I might be more organised...........

Evening all, how are we today? Have just got back in from work, so lots to do. I am not sure how many of you get the Flylady emails everyday, I must admit I love receiving them. She sent one out today with 11 babysteps on it which I thought would be really useful, particularly to people just starting, so I am going to copy and paste it here. I hope it helps someone:
1. Go Shine Your Sink: Do not wait till later! Do it Now!
2. Get dressed to lace up shoes!
3. Fix your hair and face!
4. Make your bed.
5. Set your timer for 5 minutes and start clearing off and putting
away some items in one Hot Spot.
6. Each hour, sit down and rest for 10 minutes. Set a timer!
7. Limit your computer, telephone and TV time.
8. Put on some perky music
9. Do a very small Before Bed Routine. (lay out clothes, Check
calendar, brush teeth)Write it down!
10. Go to bed at a decent hour!
11. Keep repeating to yourself; I am not behind! My home did not get
dirty in a day and it will not get clean over night.

might be a nice idea to ask moggins to add that list to the first post??
It is a cute list.
I do NOT believe it!!
My youngest boy (8) has just chucked a major wobbly and screamed for the last half hour, and thrown papers and rubbish all over the floor and made a huge mess in his room and in the back room. He has also clawed all his own face and destroyed numerous toys. DH not here as usual. He also poked his older brother in the eye. Talk about peeing in the wind!!!
And here I was thinking it would be easy to get them to bed!!
sexymouse.. I HAVE TEA!!!!!!! AND I drink copious amounts.. my husband said if I were to have a blood test they'd ahve to test it for milk sugar and tannin!! Is that enough for DH to come do some 'manly work' here?LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
We are all having cr*p days aren't we! I have just blubbered all over DH! He hasn't come up with any solutions but I do feel better and he did cook tea
He now knows what the debt situation is and is onboard with getting it cleared now. It's not that we're having any difficulty paying what we owe but we nearly had the house repossessed 7 years ago and he appreciates that I have a huge fear of owing anyone anything. He also understands that my priority at the moment is fighting next doors planning permission so he's okay about me postponing my plastic surgeon appointment.
I am going to post tomorrows mission early tonight as I am being packed off into a hot bath with lots of Lush and my hair dye, complete with stereo, wine and a good book. I'm just off to load the dishwasher and clean down the kitchen. Back soonOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
