pen-pen a cheap flylady cleaning basket solution might be a cardboard wine carrier from tesco etc you could put things in all the little compatments then carry that around with you - a more permananet option would be their wine carrier for life, but the cardboard ones are free and you could just replace it whenever.
denise have a fab birthday bbq, wish we could come a bbq in the sun sounds lush - especially considering the weather we've all had recently.

Pigpen my son is 13 and the stink from his room finally got to me so much (and his room is a floor above us) that I attacked his room while he was at his dads for the weekend. It took me 3 days and I chucked away 16 binbags of rubbish. I also brought in more storage and labelled every box so I knew there was actually space for everything he had. Since then we have done room inspection every week. If it isn't tidy (or tidied 1 hour after we inspect) then we take his PS2 away.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

:grouphug: for moggins. Hope the bath does the trick. It's nice that you have a supportive husband there too.
pigpen. My Moon man is just the same - he drinks tea like it's on tap! We're talking at least 5 cups just in the time from when he gets home to when he goes to bed! Don't know how he sleeps. Must admit though that my intake has been pretty high recently, but have to be careful or it will trigger my IBS.
I'm sure he'd love to come over and have lots of tea, but not sure how much work he'd get done in between drinking and chatting (he can talk for England too!).
Well, having been in from uni and had (oh dear, I've just worked it out) 4 cups of tea myself, I'm not far behind him. Must go off and make the dinner. (OH will have to make the most of this, as when I go back on placement, he'll be doing all the cooking.) This teaching thing is SOO hard, but wouldn't swap it for anything.

Pigpen, my lovely SS is nearly 15, and we have an agreement that if he wants me to keep out (and me to keep out the toddlers) he will keep it tidy and empty the bins before he goes. He does it every time without whinging. We are waiting for him to turn into Kevin but so far so good... My mum used to clear my room when I was at school every so often - an event I dreaded but appreciated at the same time. I would just go for it - whats the worst he can do, sulk? Much easier to keep something clean than do the mass clearing and it might give him the motivation to keep it clean. Best of luck either way.....
I left ds1 at home with not well OH this morning and took DS2 to the supermarket. I got home to every bit of ground floor wood polished and the insides of the windows cleaned, and all the brass shined!!!!! He also dismanted the stupid electrolux so I could get them to send the right spare part. I nearly fell over from the shock as generally he ignores the house as he works very very full time. He assures me that ds1 is quite manageable if you give him a job to do... I wondered where I was going wrong......'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Well, i had a really busy morning, but since then, its all gone to pot!!! Mind you, have all the school uniforms in the WM as i type, not enough dishes to put the DW on, so it will be put on after breakfast tomorrow. Will hang the washing up on the maiden in a minute when the WM finishes, and i also want to whip the hoover around.
Tomorrow, apart from my normal dailies, i will be sorting the bedrooms, as i dont get chance during the week. I also have 2 mystery shops to do, and need to take my BM back to Argos as its less than a year old and the paddle isnt working anymore!!!! Sunday, i will be staying in my pjs and doing as little as possible!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely evening, im off to do that hoovering - at least i dont have to make the packed lunches tonight!!!!0 -
