I was thinking the same thing, such a talented girl but so troubled. Her dad really tried to help her, he must be devastated.0

I shouldn't think the people of Norway will give a monkey's whether Amy's getting more headlines than they are. They've far more important things to think about than column inches.0 -
You're in tears? Seriously? Get some perspective.0

Was more an observation of how most people think and where there sympathies go.
I have had a close family member die through drug and alcohol abuse and even then I had no sympathy. For there mother/father yes, for the person, none. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

Indeed it is a terrible waste of talent and of such a young life, her poor father must be heartbroken.
Amy had her problems,no doubt about that but anyone can become an addict, absolutely anyone and if it was the drugs and drink that killed her (highly likely but not yet actually known) then it doesn't make it any less tragic that a young woman has lost her life and that a father is travelling home from New york right now knowing he tried and failed to save her.0 -
Without wanting to sound insensitive, It was only a matter of time before this happened.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
