  • Good morning, its nearly payday just got to get through today and tomorrow.

Been a busy few days, weekend was quiet stayed at home and did housework and baking, MIL took DC to the cinema on sat and then had them overnight.

Managed to make £20 on ebay at the weekend, which wasn't bad, does feel very slow on there at the minute, also recieved a £10 amazon voucher willprobably use this for christmas.

Put meter readings in on monday for the week - Gas £5.36 and elec £11.99, pleased that i'm keeping it under £20 a week for both, helping that the weathers warm and still no TD.

    Hope everyones .

Hi Pennywise, me again. Is everything ok xx
    Mummytogirls x

  • Good morning, so soryy for not popping on and updating my diary, MTG thankyou for asking if i'm ok.

OK the last month seems to have had me up and down, but mostly down and its mostly to do with work which has left me tired, stressed and generally horrible, i have fellt myself becoming more and more withdrawn and depressed which has caused a rift between me and hubby:(, work has been awful can't go into details really, but i'm sure you will remember me telling you about the job cuts which resulted in jobs going, this has put more pressure on the people that are left as work load has got bigger, this i was actually coping ok with as i actually work better if i have more to do and deadlines to meet (iykwim:)), but their has been alot of bully and general nastiness in the work place, not caused by myself and very little aimed at me (most people know that when pushed i tell it like it is), but at collegues, people are now off sick which has increased pressure, unions have become involved for various people and the atmosphere is awful, i'm trying to keep my head down, do my job and not take sides, been looking to see if their are any jobs about but sadly nothing at the minute, will keep looking though.

As i said above me and hubby have not been getting along brilliantly, lots of falling out and not communicating, which has resulted in the children being badly behaved, anyway last weekend we went out for the day, had a bike ride, picnic and long talk, did us really good and things do feel a bit better and as its half term week he has taken a couple of days off work to spend with us, one of the days we are having a family day out and the other i'm going to spend the day with DD and hubby is spending the day fishing with DS. Hubby also admitted to talking to his Dad about us not getting along as a couple as he was so worried, he admitted that his Dad has asked us to go away with them to america at Easter, they are visiting some friends in Florida and are staying in a Villa owned by another set of friends, but hubby didn't think i would want to go with the in laws, told him of course we will go, we can do our own thing whilst MIL and DIL do theirs, may have some days out together but as they will mostly be visiting friends and FIL is a mad sea fisherman and wants to go off doing that, so they have paid and have asked for £2000 towards, which i think is reasonable and doable, Can't remember the name of the place we are staying but its about a 45 min drive from Disney, so we have told the kids we will take them, but it is part of their christmas and birthday present as its very expensive to go, Feel abit wrong going as we have debts but we need it as a family.

Well i'm still managing without a tumble dryer and have noticed the difference with the meter readings, we are in credit and hope to keep it that way, havn't put ont he central heating but have been liting the wood burner, which is brilliant as its free, it warms up the whole house if we keep all the room doors open and have been using the airer to dry clothes and so far its working really well, will put the CH on if it gets really cold.

I am setting myself a food challenge for November, all my cupboards, freezers and even under beds are bulging and need to use this stock up:eek:, had so many good vouchers from Sainsburys recently (12 off £60 spends combined with£11 off £50;)) that i've gone a bit mad, problem is with being so stressed i found i was cooking less from scratch, buying takeaways and generally being carp:(, so the challenge is £100 max this month to spend on food and to try and use up as much as possible, yesterday i made a huge pan of soup which did us for lunch, i made some HM bread rolls to have with it, also made a meat and potato pie, i though there wasn't much meat but i managed to eek it out with potatoes and extra veg and there is enough left to have with some beans for lunch today:), Made another loaf of bread this has gone in the freezer, 14 choc chip mini muffins again gone in the freezer, 8 normal size choc muffins got a feeling these have been eaten:o and 12 scones, today i'm going to make more scones for the freezer, mince pies for the freezer and a bakewell tart and maybe a couple of quiches if i get chance, wanted to make a fruit loaf but don't think i have enough fruit. Tea tonight is Rst chicken that is huge and wil do a few meals and have managed to meal plan until the 20th Nov:D.

Still surveying and doing ok near payout on a couple and have recieve 2 lots of pinecone payments this week (£8) and £4.08 from crowdology leaving this in paypal at the minute, also recieved a box of washing powder to trial, dishwasher tablets to trial and vouchers for free dog and cat food:D. Having problems with ebay as it won't let me upload any photos:mad:, going to try with hubby's phone this week as he has a ebay app on his.

Sorry for the long post but feel loads better for getting it all off my chest and so sorry for not talking about it, i should know that you ladies will always listen to my ramblings:rotfl:.

Take care and have a good half term.

Good to see you back Pennywise xx

I think a holiday especially to Florida sounds lovely, I'm very jealous! Debt busting is all very well and good but there has to be some enjoyment in life as well and your kids are at an age where they will love it. Life is for living now and they won't want to go on holiday with you for ever, are you going to do the parks etc?

Your work situation sounds horrendous, at least you have a week off to refresh and recharge and spend some time with your family and as you say its best to keep out of whatever is going on.

Take care and enjoy your week off xxxx
  • Hi choo and thankyou.

We are going to go to some of the disney parks not all of them though, probaly get tickets for the disney ones and leave the universal ones this time, hopefully we can go back in the future and do those, want some chill out time as well ans as the villa has its own pool a lot of the time will be spent just chillin in the sunshine, also th inlaws are not bothered about the disney parks so we will do those ondays they are meeting up with their friends.

Managed to sort ebay out and have listed 3 things this morning, not much but we are having some family time, we have spent the morning making our own board games, marked out a 1oo square board for each of the children (bit like a snakes and ladders board) and they are designing them, DD has made a brilliant pony one.

Must get some baking done this afternoon and the chicken in the oven to cook.

Hi Pennywise, im glad youve come back I was worried about you!!!

I think the holiday sounds very much needed in the family. NIce of the inlaws to pay too and hopefully they will do their own thing so you can enjoy it :).

Sounds like youve been busy in the kitchen recently!! I get so much inspiration from you re baking! Im going to be dropping a day at work soon so I think il take a leaf out of your book and use that time baking and freezing it all for packed lunches.

Sorry to hear about work, hopefully it will calm down soon. Good on you for keeping out of it, im sure that again will go in your favour should anything else happen. Keep your chin up xx
