  • Hello Penny

Gosh but the week goes quick doesn't it. Delighted your basket from Amazon arrived. You worked hard for that so enjoy it. I know what you mean about routine though its hard work keeping up with it. Have had a busy few weeks and this one isn't going to be any different. Running here and there. Have a wedding next week and am getting all organised for that.

I feel as if I am bleeding money at the moment. So many things need sorted this time of year. House insurance last week ... DH car insurance this week.

I see you have joined Groc challenge and you are doing well.

Take care and hope you have a relaxing evening.:)

  • Good morning.

Quick update before i get ready for work, made around £35 yesterday on ebay, couple of bits still waiting to be paid for.

Managed to get to 3000 points on p!gsback think its taken me about 2 years, anyway i've ordered a £10 dotty p voucher, i know i'm going to need a new winter coat this year so need to get that expense down as much as possible.

Hubby's mate dropped by yesterday he is a farmer a brought us round a joint of beef from one of his departed beef cows, had no room in the freezer so cooked it yesterday afternoon and had rst beef for tea, it was beautiful and there is enough left for another meal.

Right better go and get myself and children sorted and then go to work.
  • Morning Penny,
You're going great guns again with ebay and surveys and as always that fabby food.
Think i'll be treating myself to the new Hugh F-W veg everyday book and see if we can ween DH away from meat and reduce our food spends.
Came home from staying at my Mum's yesterday with a brand new barbour she had bought in the sale for herself but was huge on her, looked at the new price £179.99 and am now wondering if i can ebay it!! Think i could clothe everyone quite nicely for that, but i still like the barbour too, eekk!!
    Have a great day xx

  • PWD put the coat on ebay, think you would make plenty on it since its new and people are looking for winter coats with the weather being pants.

Well i got back from work half hour ago and have managed to light the stove, bung aload of stuff in the slow cooker to make chicken pie later, gobbled down some cheese on toast and wrapped 2 ebay parcels ready to post when i pick kids up from school.

Ebayqueen don't know where the GOSH has come from but i keep saying it, hubby keeps taking the micky out of me for it:rotfl:.
  • Another manic day yesterday and didn't get all my jobs done, at least its making the week go quickly.

Spent £10 on petrol and £1.43 on bread and mints in Tesc*. Nipped to boots to get cough medicine as both children have started with chesty coughs, used points to pay so saved £3.45.

Did meter readings for this week £12.65 on electric and £7.51 on Gas, trying to keep it around the
£20 mark and still managing without the TD.

Need to nip to Tesco before work this moning and get some rice as we are having curry for tea, DD is horse riding tonight so its going to be another spendy day.

Hope everyone has a good day, byeeeeeeeee.
  • MOrnign and thank F its Friday, i'm whacked feel as though i've been run over by a steam roller, will have a nice long lie in tomorrow as children are at grandparents tonight:D.

Speaking of children they are driving me mad, falling out, calling each other names and just being bl**dy horrible in general, i ended up in tears last night because DS was so horrid to his sister.

On the money front there is not much left and have a week until payday, but should be ok, need petrol today as car is bleeping at me to feed her, recieved £9.80 from v!vat!c yesterday and a person finally paid for an ebay item after 2 weeks and me having to take a case out against them:mad:. Managed to get to 1000 points with gl*bal t£st mark£t so that will be roughly £30 winging its way depending on the exchange rate and this morning had a lovely survey waiting from Ips*s which gave me enough points to order another amazon voucher, so good few days. Also have a few bits on ebay ending this weekend which should net me around £10:).

Loving work at the minute, seems that its less bitc^y, or maybe i've got better at ignoring it.

Have a good Friday and don't work too hard.
  • Happy Friday Pennywise. I think everyones feeling pretty much the same today!

  • Hi mtg, hate this time of year, feels as though there is nothing to look forward to and as you said its getting colder and darker, i fancy being a hedgehog i could hibernate until spring and get up to lovely fresh spring air, flowers and summer to look forward to.

Just think how :money: it would be if we could all hibernate - no spending money, no need to pay for heating, no Christmas  and best of all we'd all lose a few pounds through fasting. It all sounds very appealing especially not having to stand in a cold, wet and windy playground every day xxx
  • Hadn't thought of the weight loss choo, would be fab to wake up in 6 months time and be a size 10 and a couple of grand in the bank:rotfl:.

Heavy day today at work, been working along side a couple of AT RISK children:(, my heart bleeds for them and makes me relise what ungrateful, spoilt little s*ds i'm raising.
