Took kids to the cinema this morning usually go to the cheap kids showing, but they wanted to see spykids in 3D, can't believe how much it cost £23:eek:, can you believe that. So glad i bought treats in Tesco's yesterday.
Was very good this morning when i got up i bunged a load of veggies, tinned toms and lentils in the slow cooker for soup, so when we came out of cinema kids asked if we could go to mcdonalds, usually i would say yes and spend more money but i was good and told them lunch weas already cooking at home:D.
So spends for today -
cinema £23,
Matalan- work tights, pe pumps, work shoes £12.50.
Asda - Food £4.65
- Dress for work, pumps dd, jeans ds, boxers ds, Trousers
for work £26:o.
Home bargains- dog treats and sawdust for guinea pig cage £4.74.
Tesco - Fairy washing up liquid and frubes £3.00.
Have to say that i only bought things that were needed, resisted buying a new pair of boots in Mataln, seemed to have got lots of new winter ones in, going to see if i can fund them through ebaying or surveys.0 -
Good morning.
Cold and overcast this morning really starting to feel like autumn now and it was dark last night at 8.30pm:(.
Quidco money hit account this morning so the whole £1.99 has gone to barclaycard, withdrew £3 from mysurvey this morning but won't recieve that until next week.
Today i'm ging to have a good hunt around for things for ebay as its free listing this weekend.
KIds have decided that they want a pyjama day today, think they have relised they are back at school next week.0 -
Enjoy your PJ day Pennywise.
£23 at the cinema is scandolous, can you imagine how much it could have been if you hadnt take snacks. We bought popcorn last time we were there and it cost nearly £5 for a medium one . Theres something on watchdog next week re the price of popcorn so il definately be watching that!!! xxMummytogirls x0 -
Morning, very quiet in the house at the minute, DH and DS have gone fishing and DD is still asleep so enjoying the peace and quiet.
Yesterday was a very spendy day, took DS to have haircut so that cost me £10:eek:, nipped into Tesco and spent £3.24 and butchers another £5.46, took DD for a riding lesson £18, went to visit gran and on the way back Dh wanted to nip to the local retail outlet place as he wanted waterproofs for work, i ended up spending £22 on wellies for DS and DD:mad:, sure i could have got them cheaper in asda.
As i said above we went and visited my gran and came back with bags of stuff, she has had my cousins visiting in the holidays and they left a bag of kids clothes to be binned:eek: as there children won't wear them again as its the end of the summer and they coundn't be bothered to take them home, i gladly had a sort of them and most stuff was not to my taste, but i'm sure someone will like them, did i mention it was free listing on ebay this weekend;).
Gran also sent me home with food they had left, so came home with jammie dodgers, hula hoops, ice cream, spaghetti, chicken breast pieces in tikka sauce, chicken kievs, frozen smoked haddok fillets and self raising flour, also a childs pink camping chair that the cousins had bought and never used and couldn't be bothered to take home:D.
This morning i'm off to sainsburys as i have a voucher for £12 off a £60 spend to use and need to get fruit and veg and also stuff for lunch boxes as we are all back to school Tuesday.
Postie brought the dogs some nice treats yesterday and some dog food, so they were happy.
£4 recieved from Pinecone.
Right going to hunt out some bits for ebay then get showered and dressed.
have a good sunday.0 -
Wow Pennywise, your cousins are not very MSE are they :money:!! Good for you though it saves you buying!! Will you put the stuff you dont like on ebay?!
Cant believe how quickly these holidays seem to have gone, wont be long until half term!! I was just thinking the other night it wont be long and all the Halloween stuff will be out in the shops.
I dont have to worry about packed lunches until next weekend as DD doesnt stay for lunch until then. Il be encouraging her to have school dinners for a few days though as they get 20 days free for the first half term :T:rotfl:!!
Have a good Sunday xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi MTG, yes i've put some of the things on ebay, just think if they are too lazy/stupid/wasteful then its their own fault. That sounds good about getting 20 days of school dinners free.
Just got back from sainsburys and spent £56.58, it was over £80 before i used various money off vouchers and also clocked up 840 nectar points on this shop, so once they are added to nectar account will be able to order a £5 amazon voucher and will then have enough to buy my new log basket.
Also a heads up for those doing the buzzagent DOVE trial, its currently BOGOF in sainsburys, bought a shampoo and conditioner used 2 x 50p vouchers so worked out at 66p a bottle, bargain.0 -
Hi Pennywise, yes the school dinners is just reception class. I think its to encourage the kids to try them and see if they like them. DD will eat anything so I know she will be fine but I dont want to force her into having them as im sure she will want to be flashing off her new hello kitty lunchbox!!
Sounds like you got some bargains in Mr S, havent been in there in absolutely ages. Do you get a magazine with this vouchers? I only get the baby magazine which I dont read anyway now with vouchers for nappies which I also dont use!! Would be good to get some money off vouchers xxMummytogirls x0 -
HI been a busy bee today trying to get everything tidy and ship shape for tomorrow as we are all back to school.
So have spent most of the day cleaning, still have bathroom to do, but all the ironings been done:D.
Recieved £4.08 from crowdology this morning and ordered a £5 amazon voucher from Nectar:D.
Gas and electric meter readings have been done for this week £3.28 for Gas:D and £11.90 for electric:).
Milkmans been paid for the fortnight £7.70.
Also managed to list 20 items on ebay yesterday, which took hours and i felt like losing the will to live by the end of it, no bidders yet though.
