  • Good morning, well we are back to the overcast dreary weather.

Managed to get lots of washing dried yesterday, so today will be spent ironing it and putting it in its rightful place.

Made a yummy feta cheese and spinach filo pie for tea last night, some left so wil be having it for lunch today:).

Did meter readings last night Gas £5.36 and Electric £12.37 can tell we don't have a tumble dryer at the minute and seem to be managing ok without it.

Today we havn't much on will take dog for a walk and mooch about the house getting kids rooms in a reasonable state:eek:, should be a NSD as not goimg near any shops and don't need to buy anything.

Oh also paid milkman yesterday £8.
  • Yesterday i also stewed up some past there best apricots with some honey, very delish on vanilla icecream.
  • Good morning, house is very quiet at the minute DD at the stables and Ds is outside playing on his bike, so i'm have a lovely cup of tea and buttery toasted teacake:).

Recieved payment of £20 yesterday from rewarded opinions so thats been put to one side for car tax, also sold 1 item on ebay making the grand total of 99p, it all helps.

Have been totting up reciepts for food spends so far this month and in 3 1/2 weeks i have spent just short of £400:eek: which is not good i knew it had got a bit out of hand but thats ridiculous, going to have to rein in for september, think i may join the grocery challenge.

Today i need to do some baking, scone, muffins and a couple of quiches.

Hope everyones having a good day.

  • Hi MTG, yes its shameful how much has been spent, hopeing next month will be better as i'm back at work and less tempted to pop into supermarket as i'm not passing them on days out, will sign up to the challenge, hope next months spends are around £200.
  • Hi, its another lovely day and have got washing out blowing in the breeze, both children have friends over and have emptied all the blankets out of the airing cupboard and have built a den under the trampoline, at least they are having free fun:D.

Had to nip to Tesco this morning as i had run out of washing powder, can you believe that i've spent so much on grocery shopping and forgotten to buy washing powder also low on kitching cleaner and have run out of disinfectant but these can wait until next week, also bought bananas and cream whilst i was there, so spends today are £8.85.

Have had 2 payments into paypal today, one from mysurv£y £5 and one from vivat!c for £9.80, have withdrawn these and will be put towards car tax.

Have been looking at new log baskets on amazon, as our old one was chewed last christmas when we got our pup and i put a load of logs in it and when i picked it up the bottom fell out, almost have enough amazon vouchers, just need another £5.

    Hi Penny

I know what you mean. It will be good to get back into a routine. Though that means the autumn is upon us, which I love. The sun always shines when the kids go back. I still call mine kids .... how sad is that. :)
