  • Hi lovebooks and thanks for popping in, I have to say i do like routine and knowing whats happening next, it just works better for me, but do admire people that are happy to fly by the seat of their pants:D, it just terrifies me.

Not alot to update today, seem to be counting down to payday on wednesday, going to be a nsd as the only pace we are going is the library, ds wants more jigsaw puzzles.

Recieved a £2.50 amazon voucher this morning so nearly there for the log basket.

Need to bake some chocolate muffins today as we have no HM cakes left, tea tonight is egg and chips, trying to have at least one really cheap meal a week and as we get eggs for free, do love egg and chip butties though:D, HM banoffi pie left from last nights tea so will finish that for pud.

Can't believe we only have 1 full week left of the holidays:eek:, were has it gone.
  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHH kids, can't wait for them to go back to school:mad:, decided my 2 are spoilt and don't respect anything, i am sick of things being broken or not put away so the dog gets at them and chews it up or the paddy throwing because he's got more than me, does anyone else have this problem, or you ask them a question and just get ignored, final straw this morning has been that the pup has chewed up DS crocs simply because he didn't put them away in the shoe cupboard last night, even though i told him at least half a dozen times, i'm also mad with myself because on my way to bed last night i stepped over them thinking i'm not doing it, i'm not putting them away and now the dogs chewed them:mad:, just feel like crying, i'm so sick of going without and trying to make sure we have a happy home and the kids have everything they need to just have it thrown back at me.

Sorry for the winge:o, needed to get it off my chest.

Busy morning so far, Wm is on, made bottom of fridge soup for lunch that is currently cooking away in slow cooker and bread maker is on.

Can't believe how cold its gone, hope this isn't a sign of another winter like last year:(.

Right off to get showered and dressed and calm down.

    Morning Penny

I know how you feel. Its constant saying do this, do that. Some of it gets done and some doesn't. Sorry to hear about the shoes. Are they totally ruined or could they be worn around the house?

We had been out yesterday travelling long distance to visit family. I fell asleep on sofa and woke to a kitchen that resembled a bomb site. I lost it and went to bed!!!!

Up now and there has been a bit of a change in the mess but its all there waiting on me. Oldest is the worst, home from Uni but he goes back Monday to start his part-time job. So one less to clean up for.

You have done something this morning and I would need to start very soon. Sold a book over night on amazonia (14.67 before postage which wont be much) so that has cheered me up :)

Hope you have a good day today. :)

    Take care
    E

Hi Pennywise, your not the only one with children behaving like that. My 2 are younger than yours and theyre always at it. We took them out for the day yesterday and ended up leaving without seeing all the animals because we had enough of these 2! Kicking off, whinging, moaning, fighting! I said to DH next time instead of spending money doing supposed nice things they dont appreciate lets spend it on ourselves! We do without all the time, they get everything and behave like this . Roll on going back to school.

    Hope your ok xx

    Hi Pennywise

Hope you're feeling abit brighter. My 2 are exactly the same, the number of times that I ask them to put things away and they don't get put away so I end up doing and then all I hear is "Muuuumm wheres x,y or z?" then they have a paddy when I say I put it away!

When are they back at school?

Mine are back next Monday xx
  • Hi choo good to see you back and thanks everyone for your kind words, we are all back to school on Tuesday:D.

Not alot been happening over past few days just keeping the kids entertained as free as possible, hubby tried to be helpful yesterday and took kids to the park in the nearest town as its a big one with a large wooden adventure area, came home with 2 exhausted kids:D, but i asked him were the sweatshirt was that DS had gone out in, they had left it at the park:mad:, hubby did go back to look for it but it was gone and it was a new GAP one that DS had only worn twice:( really could have cried.

On the money front its all quiet, no ebay sales, have kept up with surveys but not near payout:( on any, payday tommorrow and going to be expensive month as will do car tax online, still not recieved payment from onepoll hope it hurries up, meter readings done yesterday Gas - £6.45 and Electric 12.84. Was so cold yesterday and lit woodburner instead of CH, need to relay it again as let it go out over night, if its laid and ready to light i will be less inclined to switch on CH, also hopeing electric will go down abit once back at school as TV's and wii won't be on as much, still managing without TD which is making a big difference to electric:).

Off to see about joining september grocery challenge.

    Hi there
Can the crocs be repaired? If not then if he gets pocket money, he wouldn't be for a while until the money for them is saved.....

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Hi chev, Ds does get pocket money and has been told he has to replace them himself, hopefully it might teach him to look after his things a bit better.

Forgot to mention earlier that OH came home from visiting MIL with loads courgettes, cabbage and tomatoes, having sausage casserole, roasted veg and cabbage for tea, need to make a pud but not sure what yet, thnking along the lines of a sponge pud and custard.

postie brought me a freebie tube of toothpaste:D.
