I don't believe in coincidence, but I do believe in Occam's Razor. Smear campaign by 1 or 2 people who have either had a bad experience or some personal grudge with the aim of putting this thread high up in a google search.
Of course, I shall glady apologise should I be proven wrong.
Maybe you are right - lets hope you are , and we get our money back but tell you what - why don't you purchase something and then prove it to yourself ....go on
I have signed up and I am sure many others have because I was struggling to find this on google also and when I found this I wanted to talk to someone about it . Possibly the same reason you would have signed up when you did and I am sure that is what many others did on the day , when they wondered where there goods where .
If you aint interested in this then dont comment0 -

Yes, good point here. All those people who don't believe this thread - order something from ebuy4u. I look forward to all your complaints in 10 days when you also don't receive your goods and money disappears from your accounts. This thread is not a scam. I think everyone who has posted on here are doing so to help others not to get in a similar situation.0 -

I don't think the level of interest (or lack of) is in question.
You could say in fact, that the level of interest is high. Certainly, it is for me (who often cannot make the effort to post!).
The interest for myself is that there is quite alot of activity, new posters, in an area where this does not happen so often.
I am not passing comment on the actual issue (sorry - don't mean to be heartless, but I simply couldn't comment on the company, the process, the chance that they are scammers or not, etc). I am passing comment on the mechanics of this thread.0 -
halibut2209 is a very experienced poster so I respect his superior knowledge.
However a google search throws up:
- a complaint about ebuy4u at reviewcentre.com (OK possibly from someone who posted here)
- Amar Singh's LinkedIn profile ("Amar Singh. Owner, ebuy4u. Location: United Kingdom; Industry: Retail") - except the profile no longer exists
- Amar Singh's Facebook page (Ebuy4u) - except it seems to have been taken off line
Oh, and they offer not only free worldwide delivery, but also free 3 year warranty? John Lewis could learn a thing or two - they had to water down their Never Knowingly Undersold policy this year to take account of the extended warranty that they include in the price.0 -
Or maybe mate, this is what everyone who has been scammed by ebuy4u has been waiting for, you know a way to communicate with other people about the same situation.... If you wnt proof i`ll be happy to put my reciete of purchase on here, about this thread is a scam.... ASIF MATE.0

I appreciate you guys are angry but having a go at Hallibut for pointing out the unusual way the thread progressed in 1 day is not going to get your money back, if you disagree with his words then just ignore them but he is a regular poster and has raised a valid point. We all hope you get your money back and the site gets closed asap but try and see past your anger at what could happen should this be a bogus thread.0

Yes, sorry BottomRung. I appreciate what you are saying. It is a bit frustrating when people think you are posting bogus info though.0

I don't know if this thread is for real or not, because it does seem very peculiar that so many new posters are here...
But there is also another thread on MSE about them at the moment and their telephone number is dead so doesn't look great for them even if they are legit!0 -

I wish mate you would go and buy something, so u can actually see this is not a scam thread or whatever you want to call it.
I dont see anything out of the ordinary about this post,
this is what happens when alot of people get scammed, people want help and to be able to tlk to others about it.0 -
I'm not going to be buying anything from them because I have all the things I need at the moment. All i'm trying to do is point out why Hallibut is a but wary of this thread and has stated that. MSE is an influential forum that could potentially do a lot of damage to a small company should a group of likeminded people choose to 'smear' them. Nobody is saying that you are all lying or making up your issue but just debating the flip side of what you are claiming. Having a go at me or Hallibut is not going to get you a refund, and telling us to go buy from the problem company isn't either. My suggestion would be to stick to your issue and ignore any posts that don't necessarily agree with you. The inteernet is an anonymous place where much damage can be caused.0
