I am on the work programme now and he told me if can not be changed and I had to sign it as it told me I could not have restrictions on it

Why do you have restrictions on yours?
ok, so the work programme providers are able to change your jsa agreement? i didnt know that.
the main reasons for me is to allow me more control over what i do. i prefer to find jobs and apply for them myself rather than be bossed about by the jobcentre. however there are also health reasons that mean i should not do irregular hours.
do you rely on public transport? if you do you should have pointed out that you wouldnt be able to do just any hours due to this. i would also have been tempted to point out that it isnt in their interest to send you for a job you wouldnt be happy with. although you have to be brave to point that out because it can get a bad reaction from nasty advisers and yours sounds nasty.

not the job centre re did the jsa agreement as he said it had to be with no hour restrictions so thats why I had to sign the new one. He said going forward NOTHING could be changed so I will have to be willing to work any time of the day but I said accounts jobs are normally 9-5.30pm and he said that wasn't the case so I just laughed!

oh yeah London transport and no use of a car or anything. I have to travel 90 mins to work from home. The job centre have never sent me for any job so I cant see the provider doing anything different. Nah he wasn't nasty he was telling me how it is.

you need to check your posts for mistakes before posting them. due to a mistake in your first sentence i am not sure whether you are saying the jobcentre changed it or your work programme adviser changed it.

telling you you have to work any kind of hours or else is nasty especially when it isnt true.
the jobcentre has never ever done a jobsearch for you when you sign on and refered you for anything suitable that comes up? the provider certainly will be putting you forward for jobs.

yeah... Work Programme providers can change your Jobseekers Agreement. Although you can try to get your way out of it and have it passed to a Decision Maker... might end up in a sanction though for failure to sign.

if they basically force people to change it so that they can be forced to go for shiftwork when they dont want to do shiftwork all they will do is mess up the interview in a subtle way. if they get the job they will do whatever they can to ensure it ends as soon as possible without putting themselves at risk of a sanction. one thing to do would be to get another job. when the provider rings them to ask if they are still working they should lie and say no i packed it in because i hated it just like i told you.
of course this only applies if refered for a shift work job. they will still continue to avoid appling for shiftwork voluntarily.

So I went to the job centre today and all I signed was a new Jobseekers Agreement. The hours I am willing to work must be 24 hours where as before it was 9am-6pm. I will take THREE steps a week to look for a job!! (is that all???)

This what I said before - the job centre made me sign it!

Gosh sorry I put not instead of no but I did say I was at the job centre when I signed it

So I dont have to be able to work ANY hours? Not sure where they are going to find these jobs advertised and how they are going to put me forward. They are not an employment agency.

Refered me for jobs? No but they have done serches on the system but they are the same as the job points and http://jobseekers.direct.gov.uk which I was doing on my own already. Not seen an adviser since before the May bank holiday as two appointments were cancelled by the job centre and then for the next mth I only signed as they had no replacement for the adviser I used to see who moved jobs.
