Wow, I'm feeling decidedly inadequate seeing how much some people on here do. And vroom if you're north of the border by any chance you have another job here - any biccies you want!
I just don't know how you find the time for all that. I usually get home from work about 6pm, I have 1-2 groups I go to a week after work, then one night me and OH generally set aside to spend together and the other nights by the time I've made my tea I just want to flop! Then weekends I run errands, do the shopping, try and get some exercise in and study for my OU course - am lucky if I get the bare minimum done.
My mum is the total opposite, very houseproud and if she's coming to stay I have to blitz clean for 2 weeks beforehand and she still usually finds something wrong!0 -
my mum usually has something to say about my house and lack of housework too when she comes to visit - which is completely pot and kettle because her house is never tidy!!0

OMG OP you can come round and do my cleaning anytime:D:DI'm more of a CBA character when it comes to housework, but manage to wash up, clean the kitchen sides, wash clothes, clean the loo and tidy a bit every day.Floors prob get mopped once a week if they're lucky :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

OMG OP you have a job here too. I have a 9 month old, three dogs, two cats, an OH and a part time job. I get the basics done (washing, laundry, bathroom and kitchen get a quick glance and maybe a sweep up) thats it. I simply dont have the time to do as much as you. I do get up at 4am to walk the dogs (before OH goes to work) but DS permitting I dive back in again...
I would honestly much rather be playing with DS/the mutts twiddling my thumbs than do housework0 -
Well its been enlightening seeing everyone's different views on cleaning and glad I'm not only person who doesn't know what the different nozzles on the hoover mean
!!
My house really is a mess.......
....so I need to go lie in the bath where I can't see the mess
Plenty of time tomorrow....;)
I can't get into my bath for mess!I constantly take dirty washing out of it but despite being told to put dirty washing into laundry baskets, most people in the house dump everything in the bath. My bath isn't grimey - just dusty.
I have so much washing that the last time my bath was emptied was last year - but i'd rather have it in there than in the kitchen.
Thank goodness I have a downstairs toilet for visitors - and a separate shower in the bathroom. We've lived here 3 years and between 6 of us the bath has been used less than 10 times.0 -

Lol, my mum's house is ALWAYS tidy. I went to visit for a few days the other week, I had been trying to rush round some friends I wanted to see down there and had left a top I had worn earlier on the floor rather then putting it back in my travel bag. When I got back later it was washed, ironed and neatly folded on the bed 'in case I wanted to wear it again' :rotfl::rotfl:She makes me laugh as she always says she hates housework but then does things that I feel are completely unecessary, for another example she hates ironing but she irons EVERYTHING - I mean socks, underwear, towels, teatowels, washcloths, absolutely everything. I think I've ironed twice in the last year when OH had to wear a shirt somewhere!0 -

I didn't say I never washed. I have a bath in the sink, at least once a week.
