Back from the jobcentre clutching a fifth evidence book. I saw a different chap today talk about monotone although he did say that where my applications were concerned he did think that ageism is alive and kicking where employers are concerned, I said that I never put my age on my CVs. He is annoyed that I am not getting interviews and was particularly annoyed by the one job that they told me about whereby they said they never bothered looking at my CV. They have sent others for the same job so now a flag has gone up against the job due to the spurious rejections.

I shall keep plugging away - it is all I can do.

glad to hear the job centre listen to you and take you seriously.

The universe is planning something wonderful for you :)

I agree Aesop - the Universe has something great planned for me although it has yet to reveal itself, I shall remain patient:D

I think the jobcentre like me because I show my evidence book each fortnight and do make an effort unlike some plus I speak to the advisors as though they are adults.

I am praying that the Universe would sort out this house and enlighten the one particularly greedy vendor who is more bother than the other executors. He is hard to contact according to the agents who are getting as fed up as we are over the whole business. We even got the blame for delaying things until mum pointed out that our solicitor was still waiting for stuff he requested at the beginning of March. I do not want to stay in this flat a moment longer because it is so depressing and although my parents have said I can move back in with them - there is all my furniture to consider and the cost of storage plus I don't want to be living with them. It grieves me that the For Sale board is up yet the agents are saying that it is not for sale and it is showing as under offer on their website. In fact they were not aware that the Sold sign had been removed - yet I note they haven't replaced it:mad:

I am trying to get on with my life - my divorce is coming through and I am hoping that when it is all done and dusted that I will be much happier, being with such a controlling person is so draining and depressing.

Mum gave me some microwavable steamed veg yesterday must admit that I am not keen as they are quite watery (I wasnt expecting any water to be in the bag when I tipped them onto my plate) and they didnt go that well with my stew. I am recooking the stew and having it again for dinner tonight as I was too lazy to take anything else out of the freezer..sigh.

Why do people feel the need to play games? It seems that it was the estate agent playing games as well as the vendor:mad: How strange that they claimed not to be able to contact the vendor but when mum suggested they contact the other executor with an increased offer to include the carpets then lo and behold a favourable response is received and the offer accepted. Their little games have wasted so much time and money - now I plan to go up to the house again tomorrow and hope to see the sold board outside once more.

I hope to be in the house by the end of May/beginning of June. Now I need to work on getting some money as I have some expensive months ahead with my car needing a service and MOT at the end of May, it needing to be taxed in June and insured in July:eek: Maybe my auction money plus my credit union cash will be used towards that instead.

I have seen another job - one that I can do standing on my head whilst playing a harp but the pay is less than £15K but I shall apply and see if I can get WTC to bump up the salary. It is a job working for a charity representing people who have addictions and I have experience of working on a project dealing with addictive behaviours.

Back from the village - nipped there this morning for some fresh veg, some frozen veg, bread and a tin of spam for my store cupboard. I very nearly gave £1 to the army cadets who were collecting for Help for Heroes but didnt because they walked past me totally ignoring me and others who were going to chuck some cash in their bucket. I spent the money instead on a small childhood treat a quarter of pineapple rock from the post office.

It was too much to ask for the sold sign to be put on the house - hopefully now they will all stop playing their silly little games!

aww Horace, shame about the army cadets. Maybe they will realise their mistake and go back later.

Fingers crossed you move into the house by end of May. And all this will be behind you.

Too late - I am not going back to the village and the money I was going to donate has been spent on me instead..this pineapple rock is certainly as good as it used to be:D

lol, it is good to treat yourself once in a while.

Horace, what a nightmare for you with this house - I hope it all goes smoothly for you now.

I hope you don't mind but I mentioned your name to Mooloo who wants to divorce her husband - they have been seperated years but he can't afford the divorce and I know that you have managed to do all of this yourself without a solicitor ( I know you showed your friend but that does not count) plus Mooloo is on benefits so will be exempt from the fee's.

Also with your phone contract can you check with them whether you need to cancel once your contract is up.
DH assumed that his contract would automatically stop in Feb when the 18mths were up but he rung them the day before to get a code (to move his number) and they told him he still had to give 1 mths notice so his contract did not then finish for another month.
