Think you could fix me an introduction?! She is definitely my favourite bit of eye candy on Saturday evening TV (although Kelly Rowland could pass if she put a bit of weight on

Just survived the 430 mile trek home by motorway from Scotland. Endless congestion in the M6 between Liverpool and Manchester. Nothing to explain it, just heavy traffic.
Still, back in one piece after eight hours on the road. Did notice how much more expensive the petrol is down here. Stopped off at supermarkets for petrol - Sainsburys at Bamber Bridge (Preston) 128.9 for unleaded.
Carlisle Tesco's v cheap too.
One motorway service station didn't even have the price displayed at the pump- you found out the price when you went in to pay. :eek:We are not well-served.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Where is down here? Down here is is 129.9 for unleaded and 135.9 for diesel which seems cheap compared to most places we pass.Just survived the 430 mile trek home by motorway from Scotland. PasturesNew wrote: »Re food ... I opened my fridge to a choice of two items: A cheesy bean slice, or a Weightwatchers quiche lorraine. Both reductions I'd picked up. One had to be frozen and one eaten.... so I lobbed the cheesy bean slice in the freezer and it was the WW for me.... thing was, I had to eat it cold because it takes 20 minutes in the oven - and it's only 5" across. I just can't ever get motivated to turn on a whole oven, which takes 20 minutes to heat up, just to heat one tiny item for 20 minutes. The time/cost of that is disproportionate to what's being cooked.
So I had a cold mini quiche, which I ate with a spoon directly from the tin foil case to save washing up.
I would have taken it out of the foil and covered it with a bit of clingfilm and nuked it for 45 seconds. just warmed up.
I can't eat cold food. I have to let salad get warmed up to room temperature.

I'd have nuked it except pastry goes soggy and it did say "not suitable for microwaving".... so I ate it cold.In a situation like that I wouldn't bother pre-heating the oven. I'd switch the overn on, bung the quiche straight in and leave it there until it seemed to be hot. Or I'd remove it from its foil case and nuke it.
I do enjoy pastry; I don't enjoy soggy pastry so try to avoid nuking pastry items as often as possible.
"In my own home" I'd have one of those mini ovens as there's no need for a single person to ever use a full-sized oven, but when you're renting you're stuck with the (small) space you have and the equipment provided.0 -
139.9/litre here for diesel in the cheapest garage (142.9 in the dearest). I had to fill up this week, so there goes a whole week's income.... well, on paper that money wouldn't even exist as right now I don't even earn enough to cover just the rentWhere is down here? The trouble is, there is nothing else to do at the same time. I cook/eat one thing at a time.... I don't bake cakes or buns or biscuits or bread.... that's simply not how single people live, or eat. There's just me to eat everything, absolutely everything that comes into here has to be eaten by me....and if I started that lark I'd start to get bigger... and bigger.... and bigger.....thk U Zagubov, U R a (*).
PN I know what you mean about running the oven for one item - we always try and do something else at the same time.0 -
Petrol here varies from 134.9 at Tesco to 129.9 at Total. Our Tesco seems to have the most variable pricing, one week the highest price around the next week the lowest.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
