Have watched the Sydney fireworks. 2012 creeps closer. What is everyone doing tonight?

    Going to my parents......
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I have guests this evening, but for the bells I will probably have Jools on in the sitting room while in here on the PC, enjoying a bottle of Hardys Cabernet Sauvignon and some nibbles, texting some friends and I may even get the odd call. I'm really looking forward to kicking 2011 out of the door and welcoming in 2012.

When we're in uk (every other year) we always spend NY with one other grumpy couple who dont like being out somewhere busy in the evening. Down the pub in about 2 hours, three or four there then back to my mate's house for dinner followed by excessive cheese and port. It was my job to get the cheese this year, I spent a small fortune on it so it better be good.

I'm really enjoying myself back here in Scotland. there's always a big celebration at this time of year!

This time they've built a giant wicker statue of me on the nearby hill.

They say they want to show me the inside of it tonight while they have a bit of a traditional singsong. I'm really looking forward to it, but I'm worried about how cold it'll be in there!

Earlier I chucked an expired plaster in the toilet. The mrs just came running out of the bathroom screaming something about a "floater". Ha ha.

She also pointed out yesterday that although our postal address is not queens road (one of the average price 1 million+ roads) our front door faces onto it, so I guess we are mega posh after all.

One day I'll see the New Year in up there. :) We've done the Eye a couple of times and it will be a quiet evening at home this year.

Younger generation are out and extended family are joining us tomorrow.

Actually, I have no idea what we are doing tonight, but I have just skinned a couple of pheasants someone left on our door handle before Christmas, added another and sent forth for stuffing, so we will obviously be pigging-out again before whatever it is. :D
