Supposedly a glass claim should not affect you NCB and generally will have its own excess rather than the normal policy excess (assuming they treat it like a windsceen claim)
Saw my mum at xmas, she also lost the car keys before eventually finding them in her pocket. It's thee sort of thing I do all the time and don't even have the excvuse of 'senior moments'lostinrates wrote: »we had a big boost to insurance costs after dh's cost...might be prudent not to claim. We have a biggish excess aswell, so.....I think....0 -

Incidentally on a simialr theme, they were saying on Radio 4 about hessian bags not being environmentally friendly because you'd have to to use each one 130 times to make it better than a one use bag......but seems to me thats two and half years use for most people's bags (except when you buy too many) and whose die after two and a half years? They are amazingly long lasting. I love hessian bags, they don't break or cut through your hand and they don't tip over in the boot and they last years and years. I have a mucky couple, but they get used for storing things..either for the animals or shed sort of stuff.
Then again I suppose that comparison gets even more absurd if you re-use the 'one use bags''Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

lostinrates wrote: »sorry lydia, replied before I'd seen your request. Apologies and fair enough,
No need to apologise. You said nothing inflammatory.lostinrates wrote: »DH and I went to visit Lydia today. After I lost the keys and smashed the back windscreen of the car out, lol. I said to dh, ''are you cross'' and he said ''its an adventure, I've never driven with no back windscreen and I've never been to the place Lydia lives, what's to be cross about?''. I am married to a saint.
He played computer games with Lydia's ds, who had to do the hard bits, and the easy bits for DH. Lydia's dd said ''you're rubbish'' to which her brother said ''sshhh, don't be rude'' and dh said ''No, she's right I AM rubbish''.
I thought it was interesting to watch the ''boys'' interact. Men of any age seem to get on spo quietly. DH said hi to L's DS ewho said , ''wanna play?'' set dh up and they just got on with it, while Lydia's dd and I giggled and talked a lot while I got the first half of the house tour.
foundinrates is indeed a lovely person, and I too enjoyed seeing the "boys" playing on the playstation. Both lir and fir were endlessly patient as DD talked non-stop almost the entire time they were with us (apart from when I sent her out of the room to make something for them to take home with them) and fir lived up to lir's promise that he would help move the bits of the wardrobe my dad and I had dismantled. They both made a big hit with my kids (well, they'd met lir before and already knew they liked her) and even brought presents for the hamster (and choccies for us humans). The entire J family enjoyed their visit loads.(And I love it when my kids get to see happily married people interacting with each other - such a good example for them.)

Its me, we have lots of reincarnations of old friends, so people often want to find out if its an old friend with new news, and those who come back with new names are cared about as much...so a wrong assumption doesn't mean even if right you'd be unwelcome. ...but guts, Itsmehonest is an NP from another thread where NPs are called Dreamers.
Please, Itsme, don't run away. I'm sorry if what I said came across the wrong way. It's just that in the past I've thought people were new on here when it turned out "everybody knew" (actually probably several others didn't) that they were old friends in new guises. And they I've put my foot in it and welcomed them and felt silly when it turned out they'd been around longer than I had. You are very welcome here - and all the more so if you are already a friend of lir's and Dave's. (Dave & lir, do please tell her, next time you bump into her on your Dreamers' thread, that we are sorry for frightening her off and want her back.)Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

nothing to do with patience.....we like them...and remember enthusiastic children talking and playing is somewhat of a novelty in our lives not living with it, so high tolerance in day trips....they are fun.
May I cross post your message to itsmehonest so we can be sure she see's it? Oh, I'll just tell her to read it0 -

There seem to be nicer people back there so I'll make my way back.
Before I go
Welcome to this part of the forum. Stick around and you will be most welcome. It's just a "first day" thing and all will be nicer now you have explained. :beer:lostinrates wrote: »the missing keys turned out to be in my pocket.:o:o:o:o

It was great to watch you both genuinely enjoying my kids. She has just come through to my room to tell me I need to practise with her for another "performance". I think DS is going to be pressed into service as an audience - which he may not particularly appreciate.lostinrates wrote: »May I cross post your message to itsmehonest so we can be sure she see's it?
