When I go round corners/roundabouts, I've noticed a hint of bearing grind.... so I am not planning on any trips until after Easter as by then I'll have had it MOT'd and serviced/checked.... and I suspect the noise will turn out to be an expensive noise. At least I can hear/spot these things and get some months' warning.

OMG - Bluey and Treliac in one evening - we are indeed honoured...next time don't be strangers for so long you two :)

I know there is a thread on it already but I was wondering if any NP live on the roads in this list (Posh Alert for PN). A couple in St Albans, Cunningham Hill Road is OK but not in a good catchment area for schools and Sandpit Lane?! - well it has a few nice houses but is no where near as posh as many other roads - Marshalls Drive and The Park are the addresses to have but both are losing the character to MacMansions with electric gates :(

    Thanks sweetie :D

Do you know Georges Wood Road, Brookmans Park? Not too far from you and one to dream in as you drive through. Unfortunately, I don't have cause to call in anywhere.

Have you checked your power steering fluid Pastures? Power steering can sound a bit graunchy if you let it run down (fluid level should be marked) or if it gets a bit old and dirty. I had mine changed in September. Cost £48 for four litres but stopped the noise. If not it could be steering rack which would be expensive. Checking is something you can do yourself. Topping up is something you can do, changing it is more of a garage job, but not an expensive one.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I was too scared to ride a donkey on the beach, never mind a full sized horse.

I actually had riding lessons! Sounds posher than it was, the school had done a deal with a local riding school to offer riding lessons for a term at £1 a lesson....it was so cheap, my parents just couldn't way no.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Thanks tre and welcome back! Sadly, while I would like to think of myself as a polymath, its just that I had the job done myself a few months back and even my memory goes back that far.

I had riding lessons too. In exchange for spending a day mucking out once a week we got one free lesson on the oldest and most cantankerous nag they owned. It was lovely though. I gave up riding when cantering through a field of stubble the nag decided she didn't want to carry me anymore and headed directly for a low branched tree. I got chest bruises, a cut back from the stubble and four slipped discs. Didn't fancy it again after that. Dancing seemed safer.

    n'ah...not for me.

Only...lydia and I were contemplating trying to organise a group meet up, and personally would be a bit annoying if I had catered for a dozen plus partners and three turned up having all accepted.....:rotfl:

me and +1 are real. I've met fc and she was lovely!

When and where? (well, I'm just assuming i'm invited :o)
Miss Kools pretty cool and v nice too

I'm up for it but after Feb? Partly as it could get snowed off and I am desperately trying to work out some find of work/life balance...but not succeeding very well. :o We may be in NY last week Feb and UK trade fair mid Feb is all consuming.

It's kind if always been like this as there is always something to fill a spare moment but I am a teeny bit gel at those who get this week off....but my own fault as I agreed and arranged for VIP buyer to come in on the 10th Jan for a preview knowing I would be stretched (as 1st designs for feb/march deliveries don't need to be ready until 31st Jan for everyone else) so can't moan. Only myself to blame.
...but but but...they wanted to come then and I would have been a nutta if I had tried to push a later date.

OH came in last few days to keep me company and fit the new studio kitchen. Finished it late today and it's so nice :) Basic Howdens jobbie @ about £600. The existing was grim 60's falling to bits.
Son helped too and learnt about datum lines and did some chop sawing etc.

LIR how did your meet up go with the good friend and the + 1 that you aren't so keen on? We have similar situation tomo pm.
