we got a bargain basement christmas tree because he's short and a little uneven. dh is trimming its trunk to size for the stand now. eery year I look at pot grown trees to buy for future years. I'd like something cool like a korean fir, but all the pot grown trees are still too much even after chrstmas.
last year the garden centre wanted soething like £50 quid for a little blue spruce ot even two feet tall.
first ''seasonal'' sort of meal tonight too.....
my finger is almost back to normal size, just a little swelling now.0 -

Ah, the power of advertising
Guess you must be expecting an abnormally cold winter.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
michaels I will be looking at yur pics with interest tomorrow...expect questions!
the tree is at last done. we found some coloured lights we wante to put in a window that faces where we park and a long stretch of road, and which could probably be seen from at least one of the two villages in that direction. But predicatably the light don't work, lol. I really wan out door christmas lights. I know its ''non u'' but good fun. Just white ones in our pollarded trees would be nice.....to go on the want list with my life sized out door nativity scene. One day....one day. I did say I'd do it ith shop dummies that you sometimes see on ebay, but dh reckons they' look a bit scary.

We live at the top of a hill purch and the only way is down. It's nice to have a choice between controlled and uncontrolled decent. Oh, and to get back up again at the end of the day (though last year the road was blocked by an abandoned BMW 4x4 so I won't hold my breath). I want two new tyres anyway and they would normally be about £120 each, so 4 on steel wheels for £80 a piece is a great price. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? in milan having snow chains/winter kit was essential: without them in snow driving was not legal. Milan is flat city with pretty decent roads. driving here on hilly indy roads I wouldn't mind being better winter prepped. e.g. this morning rather than go up the big hill in the free lander (which I do not rate any thing like as well a the defender) we didn't take th dogs to their favourite walking place but took them down to the summer grazing for a run instead. social walks on the big hill are mush more fun for the dogs, but struggling on the ice, or more to the point, having someone out of control coming down the single carriageway hill toward you is not my idea of fun0
