"Well, after 45 mins of positivity in jllyland today, it all went down the toilet in the 2nd half." I'm assuming that this refers to a football match, and LIR, unless he's a truly fanatical fan, I don't think he really needs support. Nice of you to be so concerned, though. (I could be wrong, ofc.)No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Had a quick look at the website the thread is about. From a physics point of view they're talking complete nonsense.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I love the fact that a 400w heater will produce 550w of 'Infra-red Heat'I think....0

It's good, isn't it? The thing that I like best is that whereas a hot conventional radiator will create a convection current, a hot slab of marble can apparently heat the whole room by radiation (including, one supposes, things not in a clear line of sight from it) while allowing the air to remain still. Yeah right.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? we use a heat lamp for the dogs and ther animals as needed. Infa red light bulbs are alos really good for mawkishly looking at the retty patterns of veins and arteries in your own feet and legs and hands and arms, and for finding ingrown hairs. the heat leaves as soon as the light is off BUT it is good while its on.....the dogs room (one lamp, low ceiling, is often warmer than the sitting rom with the wood burner on. ) weirdly, the heat fro a heat lamp often feels particularly nice.. because its direct it warms under it wel...getting into aching joints quickly.0

Ages ago in a rented house we had a loo that had a heat lamp rather than a radiator. It was quite effective - no need to heat that little room all the time, but warm for the few minutes you were in there.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Have been upgrading my pc security. I have installed comodo firewall. It is a paranoia inducing application, that's for sure, even worse than task manager for making you wonder what all these connections are actually doing.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”
