So thanks to Google I now know what a BOC is but it still doesn't seem to give you right to abode unless you have been resident for most of the most recent 5 year period and not subject to immigration control for the last year of that period.

OT but it seems there might be a route for those who could afford the legal fess but no option for those who can't :(
It's more complicated than that, esp. if she was a BOC, for example.
    I think....

How fascinating to be involved in an archaeological dig, but how frustrating it must be, too!

:) Nothing apparent of interest under the floor so far, just the floor is going absolutely nowhere. :( they see to be upto half a foot deep (I'm told this won't be a problem with underfloor heating, its just they'll take longer to warm up when we turn it on after summer but be really good all winter) .

It might yet be interesting though. This was a victorian rebuild section on the site where previous building existed so maybe we'll find something :)

I like him. But then, I like kirsty. And birdy lamps. And hilarious shell taps that noone has dared comment on. I think you hve all given up on me. :D edit: which I ight take as a green light to have humourous taps....hmmm.

actually, there is a very real down side to the shell tap: its a hot and a cold turny bit, hich means mor to get mucky nd more to clean: I think downstairs loo taps should be quick and convenient. I also quite like th idea of a waterfall tap ith a hot/cold indicator light. But ight be too out of place. My final option at is to buy a bit of stone shaped to be a ater fall tap, and have the tap mechanism behind a faux wall so it looks like a stone waterfall tap. I am sure I've seen stone water fall taps but can't find them to buy. So three optionsATM, crazy tap, modern tap, homeade tap.

Nigella's left boob looks much bigger in that pic than the right one.
