if you had an interview on a lunchtime on day when it was likely there would be a contretemp or disruption at work in the morning not because its schedule but because you can se events playing out, would you pull a sicky to avoid being flustered and have focus knocked? I say yes in this partcular circumstance dh says no....
Depends whether you could mentally rise above it and concentrate on the interview. Also whether others are going to delay your departure for interview. This is by and away the worst time of year for me. The days are still getting shorter and shorter, the weather's getting colder. Spring is 4 months away. I've been out for a walk, but it's not that much fun. I normally cheer up a bit in January as the days lengthen again.
SAD light is on and the heater is on, plus I have the NP to moan to.
and we are meant to be escaping to the sun in a few days.
Except the weather forecast over there is 30C, 80% chance of rain, no sun and high humidity.
Told OH at the beginning that a cottage in the Cotswolds with an open log fire would be enough for me, but he insisted we had to travel.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I think that the answer is an unequivocal no, as it's dishonest. And if that's not a good enough answer, bear in mind that there's a pretty good chance of being found out.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Thank you very much NDG - Nice People are the best, you ask some random question on a very specific issue and get chapter and verse from a renowned counsel...now if anyone has any specific questions on the home office bureaucracy relating to the criminal justice system or staff rostering at airports, please don't hesitate to ask
In that case, I can deal with physics/maths up to about A level, most things about churches, Oxford colleges, Excel (including coding in VBA for it) and (these last three legal ones from a purely amateur perspective) more than I ever expected to know about divorce, being executor of an insolvent estate, and fatal accident compensation litigation. Oh, and PV panels.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
