That was so funny :rotfl::T
It reminds me the time i was talking to a friend on messenger. She had one of those PC desks with a pull out keyboard shelf. We were typing and talking and she let out a scream when her cats paw came shooting out of the dark from behind the keyboard as she typed
It looked a bit like this... :eek::mad: :drop kick: :cool:
Deer breed very well and their numbers can soon mount up. I remember talking to my dad as he was leaving my house one summers evening. We were at the front of the drive and we seen 5 deer galloping towards us in the field across the road. They came right up to the fence (around ten steps away) and froze when they seen us. After a few seconds they about turn and took off again.
On another occasion I was driving on a close by A road around 6:40AM and three deer shot across the road in front of me in a line. They looked as if they would have almost cleared any cars and it was a memorable sight.
They had a deer park in town but it soon got over populated and they got rid of in the end.0 -
Hooray! It's dedicated to my favourite author Stanislaw Lem and his book the Cyberiad. Discussed that book some time ago on another thread
He wrote "Solaris" but his humorous works are much better than his serious stuff!:D
If you only read one sci fi book I'd recommmend that one, as it's all short fables and very inventive.
Is there a way of saving a link to a particular day's logo ?
Brilliant book, the Cyberiad!
Bought it after reading excerpts of it in this:

I loved the Cyberiad, & I don't read sci-fi. The book I'd be most likely to recommend sci-fi would be either Frankenstein, or Hitch-hikers Guide...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

We walk our dog in Richmond Park too, but it's scared of deer, and rolls in any deer poo it can.
That's so annoying. Westie likes to roll in fox poo and even a shower or bath can't get rid of the stench. We also often take him to Dumsey meadows in Chertsey, here's a piccy for your enjoyment and to brighten op my post;
Cows...he doesn't roll in their dung but he often bit a chunk out of the dry onesGlad to say he's not doing it anymore.
The Simon's cat cartoons are funny.0 -
What a fine euphemism from British Gas confusing stupid with honestMr Bentley admitted that some bills would go up, as in the past British Gas had offered cheap deals that were unsustainable and were loss making for the company.
He said that the company had to charge "honest customers" more to fund the cheaper offers.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
Main website's down.... and host seems to have disappeared (their site's gone too). I can redirect the domain later, but need to hold off a knee jerk reaction in case there was a major problem with the hosting firm and it'll all be up later.
The main site's the one that's earnt me all the money over the years, and the one that's recently "died" .... and no I don't have a backup as I don't have a good enough internet connection to have ever got a backup as last time I needed one it was well over 4GB - and all this was on my "to do" list once I get finally settled and with proper broadband, which I've not had for over 2 years.0 -
