I have two cousins on my dad's side and 9 cousins on my mum's side.... although, technically, I might have loads I don't know about as my mum was born out of wedlock, so maybe her dad had other kids and there's a whole bunch out there I'll never know about.
Of four grandparents, one died before I was born, their dates were: 1951, 1971, 1974, 1984. I think, if they were alive today they'd all be 115-125. Oldest would be my paternal grandfather ... who died in a loony bin... wonder if that's genetic0 -
I'm a bit confused about the alcohol, I thought jews could drink. In fact, I thought most Jews do drink on friday and saturday night, and on Purim.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Don't need to do the maths, it's all done for you at WizardofOdds.com
I haven't needed it for a while since the online casinos made the wagering requirements impossible because of the bots.I'm tired, I've been learning about blackjack for no apparent reason. Who'd have thought there actually WAS a use for maths.I think....0 -

I have very fond memories of cooking with my cousin by marriage for her family, and her mother cooking with both of us. They were very warm and happy visits. Some of the best times with dh's family at all tbh.

It's not a gambling site, just a for fun site, and the rules are a little different to casino gambling so some of the details are different than wizard of odd, so I needed to adapt the strategy.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

If I had somebody special coming round I'd probably get some strawberry milkshake in and possibly some pineapple/coconut fruit juice. Fruit juice comes in 1 litre boxes, so I don't buy that for myself usually but that flavour's always intrigued me even though I've only ever bought one carton before, about 10 years ago.
Oh ... and some fizzy cloudy traditional lemonade ... and some ginger beer (preferably Idris).0 -
DH's family all enjoy a drink. IIRC there are mixed messages, because wine is both a danger and used for celebration....so I guess thats where the divergence occurs. My guess is that the common view might be drinking with moderation? I think its ok to drink at Purim, certainly? We need gdb to tell us more really.0

Fair enough, personally I basically don't drink... used to as a student, got bored of it.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Well, as an almost teetotal person who loves the pineapple/coconut juice drink, I'm inviting myself round yours (shame its so blinking far).
Oh, and btw, I had 23 first cousins and four step-first cousins. Sadly two have died. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Today I've made two wrongs make a right ... and they say it doesn't happen.
First wrong: I bought some black refuse sacks. Wrong .... I'd already got a roll, enough to last until I move out of here, so I annoyed myself as I'd wasted £1 in poundland.
Second wrong: It is bin night, so I opened the top of the bin and hoisted out the previous sack .... and the bag came out and all the rubbish remained in the bin; I've managed to buy a faulty roll of black sacks. Tear one off from the roll and both ends are open; peel the next one off and both ends are sealed. Doh.
It all worked out in the end though, but I did annoy myself at both incidents
I now have a roll of black bin liners that should come in useful for wrapping stuff when I move again though, without feeling I've "wasted" a perfectly good black sack. The ones with both ends open can be taped over jackets ... the sealed ones can be used to line cardboard boxes or something.... and at least I had bought that 2nd roll!0
