Also reports of them looking like distress flares to Coast Guards. However this does not mean that it is not a good cause.0

How far away can you see chinese lanterns?
I don't know, but I would imagine 500 of them would be able to travel some way. To St Albans perhaps, poss not as far as to you. I thought I'd stand at the top of the hill and watch. Maybe they won't get out of Hemel, in which case Pastures, you don't need to worry about animals too much, bad case of concretitis...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Don't think there are any coast guards in Hertfordshire.:rotfl:
I can state with 99.99% certainty that Hertfordshire doesn't have a navy either:D.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? They used to be made out of wire, which is definitely a problem for livestock, but you can get them made out of bamboo now.
The only one I launched went up and continued to rise as long as the flame was burning, so I am not convinced that they are a fire hazard in open country. But having launched that one I decided it was a poor idea to launch any more. It didn't go straight up but made a bit of a bee-line for the neighbour's roof!No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
HMS St Albans - unless it has been scrapped in the cuts?
Wind is forecst to be blowing from Sivercar towards Hemel so Herts nice people are unlikely to see them - may be GDB or Lydia if they go 50miles!!vivatifosi wrote: »I can state with 99.99% certainty that Hertfordshire doesn't have a navy either:D.I think....0 -

Does that mean the wind is blowing towards the Buncefield oil depot then?

We have one of those in Chambers, for work done abroad.
We've quite a lot scratched off, but all apart from one country is down to our head of chambers, who shoots off all over the world. He's an export (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
