"local" one works full-time, being out of the house 13 hours/day and then having to do stuff like get their car fixed and do household stuff/shopping/coooking etc and they live alone so everything's down to them (including keeping their job so they can continue to pay their mortgage). For the "local" sibling to "pop over" is 1.5 hours' round trip even if they didn't knock on the door. So it's not practical ... .
i.e. the local one is having the life that you should be having? What makes them different to you? You need to address your income ATM, you need to worry about your car, living arrnagements, shopping and cooking and you live alone, its all down to you ...including keeping your earnings so you can survive OK.0 -

That's what makes it hard to make decisions - as soon as a decision is made, something big changes and it creates a problem as you can't undo the decision just made. Trying to minimise decisions/changes at the moment because of the ability for decisions/actions to come back and bite you
that's life...and what we were saying to you when Old wanted to leave where she was. Sadly, its more likely things change for the worse than the better, especially when life changes so dramatically and you rely on someone elses reseorces of ''doing stuff'' and ''sorting stuff''0 -
At any rate, I don't understand why pastures new isn't eligible for Attendance Allowance, which should help some way towards her living expenses, and working persons tax credit etc.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

When I said run the new cables in trunking, I meant to just stick the trunking on the surface. That's cheap, ugly but effective, and involves minimal disruption. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Hertfordshire nice people, look to the skies on Friday night at 8pm. 500 chinese lanterns will be released for a young Hemel man, Billy Dove, who was stabbed to death for trying to break up a fight. He was only 21. I didn't know Billy, but some of my friends and family did and what happened was an absolute tragedy. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

To get WTC you need to have some clue how much you're earning and it'd need to be under £13,500, I was on more and as I am self-employed I don't really know how much I've earnt until I've done a tax return the following year (not done my 2010-2011 one yet). I was over that limit probably ... although until I do it I won't know. For many self-employed people claiming WTC isn't possible because you're never sure how much you've got really0 -

Also reports of them looking like distress flares to Coast Guards. However this does not mean that it is not a good cause.PasturesNew wrote: »Sorry, but Chinese lanterns should be banned because of the animal deaths and fires they cause.I think....0
