If memory serves I was more interested in getting into the beds than getting out at the time. :salacious smile smiley:0 -

see...I'd always notice the other amenities too. In fact....sometimes I have to admit that other amenities might have formed part of a the whole that decided whether we got into bed.:o0 -

Is he away? Or does he come home for weekends sometimes? I hope you have your CCTV installed...I worry y'know;)
He's been home some weekends not others. Not sure about this one yet...he's just gone back! but he is home next one.and I have a totally different range in my head for another time for my own age group ( different concept but nicer than MPortas' too:) ) .
wouldn't be hard to be nicer that that weird square dress of Mary's. I think she's right though...there is a gap in the market.0 -

MP's range isn't really 'me' but it has a lot of merit for her target market BUT the telly link up sent it through the roof.
I went to London Hof F and her 'In Shop' was the nicest fit in the entire store and was absolutely packed with customers....whereas the rest of the vast floor (which feels like acres and acres of sameiness) was deserted.
I loved the 3 progs but felt she was a bit churlish and ungrateful toward her hosts....if she wanted to have total control she should have opened an independent store somewhere.....but then she wouldn't have the insane crazy footfall of Oxford St. Tis the price one has to pay I guess0 -
The big market is the 30-somethings who want something nice to wear but aren't too mum-sy or too party.
I always look as if I'm dressed for work or I've aged 10 years in a frock. (this is also evidenced by THE Kate who is remarkably close to my age but dresses as if she turned 40 once she got married)
anyways, good news. went for a totally undeserved spa day and feel great. really amazing what a day off can do although i am back to this grant writing now.0 -
Aww ......that's tough for you both. Mind you when OH were living apart for that 2 years, the reunions were great
Now we are together all the time I just ignore him haha.
Yeah, its nice him being back, its not SO different from London apart from the fact its proving really expensive and the way it was sprung on us and has no end date etc.
In fact...for those who were so sweet when it happened you'll be amazed to know sadistic boss THANKED dh tonight for work done. DH hasn't broken yet and like he always has done is rising to the challenge in his own sweet way. Apparently people are amazed there have not yet been tears and tantrums....I don't think now that there will be, but I have to admit I remain really worried for him at times. Its very stressful before you even get through the person/people to the work, which is also fairly high stress.

If most start up businesses had that coverage they'd do well. Very little in the collection shown on tv appealed to me. I thought the arm things were quite funny. But then I wore tights and leggingds under shorts. (and, er still do for exercising)

oh yes, I agree. I like lots of clothes, but find getting stuff thats pretty biut not infantile (shades of pink) nor too mumsy or too ''edgey''. Basically I want to dress like an aged fairy who has fear of glitter. wafting around the place in MACHINE WASHABLE thinge.
This summer I went from dowdy in awful greenish linen trousers (nmachine wash so could garden them) to horrificaly infantile in tesco smock topped sundresses (all the worse because I wear pig tails too often out of laziness of doing anything with my hair), so I look a bit like I shouldn't be left at home alone in case of risk to myself.
The things I love all are showing their wear, and tbh, I can't be bothered to shop for anything else atm. My beloved grey roll neck chunky knit that I wore ALL last winter practically has holes in the sleeves.0 -
OMG PN what a nice pad you are rentingWhat's the rest of it like?
Spotting lots of annoyances/corners cut already though. Kitchen cupboards reek of damp (won't be putting much in there though, this isn't a place for Kitchen Goddess phase). Floor tiling's been done in-house and doesn't look level to me. Some badly chosen rugs around on the tiled floor keep tripping me up, so I might have to take a bunch of those up and roll them up in a corner for the duration else I'll have a nasty accident. It is nice to have a freezer though .... and the local shop does a great selection in £1 frozen meals I'm working my way through.
Access isn't salubrious either .... but it is big and light all day - and there's this fabulous stuff called central heating, that's actually turned on (a real treat for me).
Got a washing machine, but not got round to doing any shopping yet so no powder, so not used that yet.
Plan is to gather everything I own into this space in January/February and get the whole darned lot out and catalogued and reboxed.... I've no idea what I've got and must have a few things I can decide are no longer required. Got to keep travelling light0
