Are you quite sure about that? On the whole, stainless steel sinks don't develop holes. On the other hand, the seal around the drain hole in the middle can deteriorate, and that's easy and cheap to fix.
We bought our Franke sinks in 1993, then they were engulfed in the house fire, but we rescued them from the wreck. There's no sign of any pitting at all. My expectation is that they last indefinitely.
EDIT: By the way does anyone know where we can get replacements for the rubber bits that go at the top of waste disposers to stop the spray, please? ISE brand. I don't even know what to google for.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Bit of an update on my legal situation. Letter of claim was sent last night. Before noon I got a telephone call from the chairman of the company asking to set up a meeting to agree some form of compensation. Gob smacked or what. I was reluctant to talk but he suggested it would be without prejudice. The final amount claimed was close to £****, pocket money to him.
Still very surprised at such a quick response.0 -
Delighted to hear that, Pobby. Could I suggest not discussing too much on a forum that we know that Google spiders. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

I really should be doing shopping, cleaning, washing, telling E.On to go and !!!! themselves, job applications, rebudgeting... but I can't be bothered so I thought I'd come and say hello to you all!

I thought this section (the Debate House Price section) was not spidered, since it is a private forum.
Nevertheless, best kept off the forum, I agree with you there.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

You forget that I am living below the poverty line.
I'm trying to get "in the zone" to hammer my online stuff back into line, but not getting the peace I need yet due to the old kicking up and requiring a visit daily for unexpected issues. Soon .... soon ......0
