NP etiquette question.....bale on arrangement and go visit dh next week or honourably stick to the arrnagment as he is coming home for the weekend after that?0

Stick to arrangement.... might upset plans already made, and fighting priorities, but you'd be a first priority as you'd broken the arrangement. In times of change there's nothing worse than somebody chucking another change at you - especially if they think they're doing you a favour

NDG, your poor friend. Missed miscarriages are awful. I only had one (between my two kids) and that was bad enough. To have five like that must be even more unbearably desolate. And to lose her mum the same week... I was so grateful for the support of my mum when I had my miscarriage. Words fail me. I hope you are able to be there for her.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).

I've just remembered what I should have done with the warm spell: hire that carpet cleaner again grrrr. Shall I do it on a cold day this week or continue to pretend my carpets are ''acceptable''?
