Have a gig booked for saturday - Crazy P. Intimate venue - should be really good. The jelly boots are ready for a boogie.:j
Hoping to get a ticket for the Wolves v Newcastle game this weekend - though if it doesn't come off, I'll happily listen on the radio in the garden sun.
Monday should be a good day. More details monday...

I walked our land tonight too, after picking most of the squash, which are less numerous this year, but ridiculously large.
My ten minute mission, to count the sheep.
The sun was slipping behind the eucalyptus trees, and there was that haze which we've missed most of summer, painting the distant valleys & hills in muted shades of blue.
....But, despite the lack of a chilly wind, I wasn't fooled for a minute, because there were no swallows. They've gone.:(
Interestingly, went to play golf friday. Got there exceptionally early. Mist still flowing off the dew on the ground, luscious sight. What was amazing was listening to the birdsong for the first 2+ hours of the day. We were talking about the fact that a lot of birds have migrated by now, & wondering whether the hot spell had confused some?
Listening to them on such a lovely day was nice though!:)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

We have 3 fridge freezers.A 50cm a 55cm and a 60cm.
When we bought this house we orignally intended to bring the old one and put it in the utility room. (We were having a new built in one in the new kitchen).
I'd remembered it was a "narrow" f/f and so got the gap in the utility room made at 50cm. Oh dear. Our narrow f/f was a 55cm one. Idiot boy here didnt measure it.
No way was I throwing it away (a good Bosch) so it went in the shed and we got another one for the utility.
Come party time the three f/fers are worth their weight in gold.
Would now make sure I had this many in the next place. Just for parties really otherwise could live with two. Oh dear, that really does sound quite ridiculous. But hey it works for us.
Ah, you're planning on letting them out then?;)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Yes but I'm in it for the long haul.0 -
At my first job, we had a game of netball between the girls and the boys. All I remember is being a bit frustrated with the rules about not being allowed to take more than a step or two. I basically wanted to tuck the ball under my arm, put my head down, and make a dash for a touch-down. The girls won easily, and the ref. pretty much wore her whistle out.
We played netball once at school too.

I drink a LOT of milk. Always have. Love it.It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Woohoo... private sewer transfer day... our thousand meters or so (no one really knows where it goes) of dodgy pitch fiber pipe that keeps collapsing has just become SOMEONE ELSE'S PROBLEM.

So, now I'm up to date:
Went to play golf as mentioned friday. Lovely day/weather, great to be outdoors, fresh air, birdsong & wildlife. Trees were shedding acorns & other seeds all around the course.
Went to a skittles evening friday evening at the bowls club. Was a lot of fun! Very relaxed, everyone chatting & having a giggle. Fish & chips all round...
Went to see crazy p at their gig saturday. It was great to go to a gig again (I've 3 or 4 more this month alone - just like waiting for a bus!) Have to say though, that I can't recall being in a room before with so many people with a lack of rhythm or a sense of the beat. Seriously, not one person was dancing in time...
Sunday, went to weston for a beach day, as how many times do you get the chance to do that in October?:D Did the lot - crazy golf, ice cream, paddling, fish & chips (again:o - though they were - especially this fish - exceptional:drool:)
Not sure what I'll get up to today (_party_).
Tonnes on at work, & people are calling in sick left, right & centre! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
