I use a fair bit of milk a week...I make porridge with skimmed milk, sometimes have a glass of milk for breakfast, tea coffee (whih I recently gave up and am missing like bug****y) and the odd glug in soups or for supper. Baking uses more, and yogurt. I loved skimmed milk. Not that keen on fullcream though. DH is though, and his comes from the cow (I buy my skimmed milk and freeze it usually) and thats another litre at the weekend.
I'm pretty sure I could use one of thse middle size bottles quickly.0 -
In this household, milk is a cooking ingredient like other cooking ingredients - I buy it if I am planning to cook something that has it in. Otherwise we don't use it. Of course I also buy milk if I know people are coming who are likely to want tea/coffee. That's another reason why it's so frustrating when I keep thinking the builder is coming and then he doesn't come - I keep ending up throwing away pints of milk that I got for him to make tea with, but which didn't get used.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I have stopped using milk on cereal as I think it makes my hayfever worse (or rather means more mucus with my hayfever -yuck) but I think it is good for the kids (and the DW) to get enough calcium so they are encouraged to have ceral for breakfast - so I will be the only one with brittle bones in years to come. These days the supermarket milk lasts about 10 days (the fridge is nice and cold) so it is not hard to make sure it is used up, it did annoy me when the supermarkets switched from 2x4pints for £2 to 3 for £3 as that is just too much milk
Why is it only bankers can 'concentrate on their work' for a couple of months and suddenly have enough money to retire on?
I only ever played netball once - it was against a client team - and managed to run headlong in to said client not realising in netball that you were basically allowed to hold your ground and 'block' the other players.I think....0 -

Have you thought about getting some UHT in Lydia? That way it won't go to waste. I was brought up on UHT and I don't like pasteurised as it tastes too, er, milky. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Or getting a more reliable builder?0 -

LOLHow long did the relationship take to recover?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I think our FF is getting more noisy (only notice it at night so not certain) and worried that there may be an expensive bill coming - it is an electrolux and about 5 years old.
I think I would have a breakdown if my FF broke down now....I am only just getting over the shock of the washing machine!
FF is approx 8 years old....actually thinking about it, it is more like 9 years old.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Those are the pictures they choose to put up - not necessarily the people who actually play, though.
In the league I play in, there are women from ages 20 or so to about 55. There are also mixed teams....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
At my first job, we had a game of netball between the girls and the boys. All I remember is being a bit frustrated with the rules about not being allowed to take more than a step or two. I basically wanted to tuck the ball under my arm, put my head down, and make a dash for a touch-down. The girls won easily, and the ref. pretty much wore her whistle out.
Once you get a bit of practice at it, it's a very fast game. You might not be able to move with the ball, but there's a lot of movement, nonetheless (-: For example:

You can only have the ball for 3 seconds, before you must pass or shoot. If you don't, the other team get possession....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
