Keep all our veg in the fridge. Why keep any of it out of the fridge?

Because it tastes better if not chilled?

Do you keep spuds and onions in the fridge?

  • Right now my fridge contains 250g marg, 400g cheese, 4 tomatoes, 6 cans of fizzy drink.

    No milk? Or half-used ketchup?

I think I might go to Brussels next week now. I'm quite excited, the more I readand hear about it the more I want to go there. DH was woken up in the night by some sort of excessively load middle of the night pneumatic drilling, then people shouting at the drilling in...he thinks he counted fourteen languages. That's the sort of thing that I think sunds fun...the 14 languages not the midnight drilling. There is loadsa jazz for DH there:)

Its not such a disaster after this week. Though.....I am a bit lonely this evening. I should, in retrospect arranged something social tonight.

I've just been rude to someone. Admittedly he started it.

Two men in black car on my driveway. It happens a lot...Lydiaj has seen it and can imagine why people mistake it for a layby. Normally if you ask some one if they are ok, or need some help, they apologise and I say ''that's fine'' but this this guy said

''Everything is PERFECTLY fine thank you'' but in a superior way. It must be because I'm grumpy still but my hackles rose...

    ''I'm afraid this isn't a public layby''

''Yes, yes, I know, we are just stretching our legs, we'll be going in a moment'' rude and dismissive

''I'm afraid I'm asking you to leave now'' admittedly, rather superiorly myself now.

''Got the message'' somehting in his tone of voice riled me

''Oh good'' ok, I'm cringing, as it was unnecessary ''I wasn't sure you had capacity too''.

Totally beneath me to snap so. :( I don't even mind people stopping there once they are aware its not public and they have apologised and smiled. Its not a problem to me so long as I can see they aren't scoundrels. I just didn't like him. (the other guy was silent) they were both reasonably dressed in suits and he was well spoken...but he made my hackles rise.

You'd have had more effect if you'd had a shotgun with you. Respect, man!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

n'ah. guns arefor when you are feeling defensive or protective, not for when you feel a bit piddled off with someone. When you are p'd off the best weapon is generally a smile and self assured manners. But today I was poorly armed.:o

The bad news is that it looks like RBS, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley and Credit Agricole are insolvent again.

You have a reference/source for this? It's quite a nuisance having all these insolvent banks around.

I do actually enjoy playing netball, though!

At my first job, we had a game of netball between the girls and the boys. All I remember is being a bit frustrated with the rules about not being allowed to take more than a step or two. I basically wanted to tuck the ball under my arm, put my head down, and make a dash for a touch-down. The girls won easily, and the ref. pretty much wore her whistle out.

We couldn't get all our stuff in that. We have an ancient fridge and freezer side by side. They are ancient, so have little insulation => more room for food. Both stuffed full to bursting point. When they die, we'll get the same size again, but the better insulation means we'll have less room. 20 years old now, and keeping our fingers crossed.

I played it at school, but that was it. I was good. Just looked at the local club website and they are all very slim, bleached blond babes, aged in their 20s, out clubbing in tight/skimpy/short dresses .... so it's not for me.

No, none. I rarely buy milk; when you're single it's difficult to use it up before it goes off, so it's always been easier to drink black coffee and not buy milk.
