I know what you mean........do they charge to come out or am I asking a dumb question?
I have no idea if ministers are free or not ......can't believe I don't know the answer.
Yes, they charge. And it's pretty expensive - pretty much regardless of whether it is a religious minister or humanist, it costs somewhere around £140 (depends on the individual for humanists, a bit less for CoE)“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I had a hysterectomy at age 31 and for me, it was the best thing that could have happened as I had been so ill for so long.
Mine was done for a few reasons, the main one being endometriosis but also because I had had several cancer scares with follow on treatment plus in the lead up to the op, it was like one never ending period, so they decided it was better to just whip the whole lot out (they left the ovaries though....they really should have taken the right one)
I couldn't believe the difference it made to my life, I no longer looked washed out, I had tons more energy and the pain that had been never ending and required morphine injections during ovulation and menstruation completely went. It also stopped the every 18 months - 2 years operations to clear the endometrial tissue from where it should not be.
In fact I felt so good after the op (vaginal operation rather than incisional in the tummy), I refused to believe they had actually done it and two days post recovery, I sat on my bed in the middle of the night reading through my notes to make sure they had!
I suppose it was easier for me as we had already decided on not having anymore children, there had been plans for a 4th child after youngest was born but firstly his problems started to show, middle son's were well on display and finally, my sister had a baby and visiting her in hospital post birth, her new son's cry made my blood run cold.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Honestly, I woldn't mind thinking ahead if for me there is NO service, and the thought of trying to organise one for someone I love is in itself draining. I think getting it done at all is a triumph.
I don't know how I'd feel about a hysterectomy. If it were advised I'd do it.
I'm a bit cross with the cat who hasn;t come in this evening, as per or agreement on the free range cat: they are allowed ot bt mst come in at night. I have checked the road (where she crosses to go in direction of no road lots of fields for miles) and she's not there. I feel ''wrong'' if they aren't home in the evening.0 -

Old just needed assistance... couldn't remember how to turn the TV on. We've been through this many times in recent months ..... turning it on at the wall would have been a great start.0

Seems you are doing it all. Please tell your siblings when you need them to take the rein.
Its quite acceptable to say you are going off for some quiet time and leave them to it.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Could be just attention seeking. Maybe she's scared of being left alone now0
