For those with a crude sense of humour, check out the cover of Elle Decoration this month. They should have checked the graffiti more carefully. According to Popb!tch this week (a scurrilous email) it says "Our friendship is tighter than a nun's......"!0

I need some help choosing tiles for the 3 new bathrooms - I want ceramic for the floor and on the walls I am thinking of going for the style where you have a vertical strip where the bath taps and shower taps are:
Depends on the shape of the bathroom. A vertical stripe on a thin wall is going to make the room look even thinner.
A vertical stripe would partition the wet area from the dry, if you positioned it at the end of the bath or shower.
Personally I love the tiles but would have a horizontal stripe.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Glad I am not the only one who finds staying with parents in the West a bit dull
Had you noticed how much cooler it is than Hertfordshire as well?

Your dull is my peaceful & slow-paced. When I go east, I notice how busy everything is, but I've done with busy.:) It's nice to drive into the supermarket knowing there'll be plenty of spaces. Although it takes half an hour to get anywhere significant from here, it often took as long as that to reach the school or supermarkets when we lived in town.Noticed that the rain is different. Rain is very localised in the West. We sit in the Dartmoor /Exmoor/Bodmin Moor rain shadow.
Temperatures are also variable, so DD may have quite a different experience today, weather wise, when she's working in Exeter. It's generally very muggy down there, compared with here; much more like Bath, where we used to be. Lots of pollution issues when we lived there too.

Its drizzly weather, even we had it yesterday, and we get less rain than most (it falls on the big hill and wears itself out).
Last dressing change for dog-dog today.Special girl horse also feeling brighter.

It's just dull here and no significant rain yesterday....we were even sitting out in bright sunshine for most of yesterday morning and early part of afternoon.
I hired a wheelchair in the end for the second week of the holiday and what a revelation that was, for the first time in a while, we were able to go out on a real trip and do things at what used to be our normal pace. It also had a knock on effect on the two younger boys, they were so busy concentrating on pushing me, that they didn't have time to panic about being in a busy area and they have loved actually being able to visit all the shops they have wanted to or going right to the end of the high street onto the sea front in Yarmouth without having to constantly stop or giving up halfway because I can walk no further, so back to all the things we used to do before my mobility became more restricted.
Mind you, think they need L plates...middle son almost catapulted me out of the chair on a low step!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Glad you had a good holiday Sue. Is it worth getting a wheelchair for occasional use? My uncle had a car horn fitted to his which was fun. A proper battery one, not just a rubber ball on the end of a horn.
It's freezing here tonight. It's 9C. 9C!!! It's not natural.0 -
Put it this way, after the revelation of this week and how much it opened up our options on what we could do....I am def thinking about it!We made it!
