Benben, when ds has a bad day being wound up, how long does it take for him to calm down? Only reason I'm asking is that I had training at school recently and we were using one of our children as the example. He gets wound up easily and we've been told that you can't ask him why he has reacted badly for approx 40 mins as it takes this time for his head to get itself back together iykwim! It's something to do with adrenalin and I think a hormone that's based at the lower part of the neck iirc.

Hope you've both had a good day today xxx

Well done on the games win :T

I put on 1.5lb this week :( after reaching target last week I've let myself down. Must have peaked too soon ;) Due on next week so I'm putting it down to that. I don't think I've been any naughtier than usual :D

    Hello benben and fellow dieters!

Well ive missed my weigh in this week with being away for DH's birthday. So I will just weigh in next week. When are we pledging for February?? I have eaten a little too much of the good stuff this week so probably a good job I have missed weigh in :rotfl: xx

Sorry Dangers, I didn't see your message last night ... sometimes he can calm down pretty quickly but yes I have been told that they are still in a heightened state for at least 30 minutes afterwards.

Today was our inset day, was quite dull and a lot of it wasn't relevant for me, but hey, the weekends here now :) I can feel a list coming on :D
    • Buy envelopes and post letters for Dads birthday memory box
    • Ironing
    • Clean guinea pigs
    • Take ds to drama club
    • Go on buses
    • Go ice skating with friends
    • Ds homework project
    • Go to the library
    • End of month banking
    • Empty out the car
    • Visit Mum and Dad
    • Return stuff to Next
    • Tidy flat
    • Clean flat
Most of it is the same as usual, the flat isn't too bad. I'm tired tonight though and got soaked on the way home, so a hot bath and a pottering evening are in order tonight :)
