Meanwhile have had no sleep whatsoever thanks to the hound from hell puking her way through the night. Washing machine is on with the first of many loads. Tis quite astounding how far one partially digested slimy toad can spread.

Will be v. late for work this morning but since no one else is daft enough to be in thats not a major problem. Just as well really. Don't think I'm capable of being sociable today.

and so I'm wide awake in the middle of the night because the geriatric old dear wanted to howl at the moon. Mutter mutter mutter.

Waves at m2m. Hope you are back asleep not my dear. Old grouser, good tip. I actually used this recipe in the end http://sallywise.com.au/blog/2010/06/11/marmalade/, and believe it or not it actually set! You just seem to chop the seeds in with the fruit......Or at least this is what I did anyway.....

Morning all! Feel marginally more human than I have felt for the last couple of days. Have done no housework for eons and boy does it show. Guess that will need to be addressed v. soon. OH is trying but doesn't seem to see any link between loading the washing machine and emptying it. Still at least hes cooked dinner every night which is why the kitchen is liberally strewn with dirty pots and splattered with food.

Ran out of water completely at work yesterday so filled my time gardening in the rain. Picked a bucket full of elderberries. Fridge is now heaving with fruit destined for jam. Will need to do that today before it all starts to go off.

Finished another owl last night, that would be in the post today had not the recipient forgotten to PM me her surname.

Doing rather well at not spending money at the mo. which is just as well because my bank account is rather barren. Still have house insurance to sort out but am saving that for the weekend along with the hunt for car insurance.

Up in the middle of the night again. Dozy mare seems to think this is a great time to go for a walk. I think not. Would far rather be tucked up in bed. Have had an exhausting day. Finally have water at work again. Seems someone had turned us off but not in the obvious place which necessitated two trips out by the chaps from the water board, the second one of which occurred just as I was finishing for the day. Now have to attempt to squeeze all the stuff I should have been doing over the past five days into tomorrow. That'll be fun.

Spent the afternoon destoning greengages and destalking elderberies. Various greeengage jams now made. The jury is still out. DD1 thinks they're wonderful, DD2 decreed them disgusing, OH thinks they're too sweet and moi. Tart. Most definately. Undecided whether I like it. Will make elderberry jam tomorrow. That I do like.

I agree with DD2 about greengages they are yuck..

Oh help about the water, what a pain that you will have to do so much tomorrow.

I sent you a pm yesterday, so now all should be well.

Nah Chev, the old dear is just batty. She fits in here perfectly.

OH appears to have become a mind reaader and has washed up. Kitchen is not as chaotic as it was yesterday.

Currently knitting my final owl request. Already debating what to do next and then I came across this. Tis awesome. Although it requires a trip to the woolery.... I've already aquired a boxful of wool, it just never seems to be in the right colour... must not keep getting sidetracked by things and leaping from one project to the next... really I mustn't.....
