I don't think I have a warped mind but I wondered if the elephant tea cosy could be made into the man pouch with the trunk being put to good use :rotfl:

I believe that Ann Summers already provide such a posing pouch (with an elephant noise too) :D

Yesterday disappeared in a whilrwind of chores. Managed to finish the washing and the ironing and vacuum the house and car. Tidied up a fair bit, poopascooped, watched Fast & Furious 5, picked blackberries, took delivery of a dozen curly kale plants from a passing dog walker and knitted half an owl as well as assisting in the production of several mosaic coasters and the start of a cross stitched reindeer.

Doubt today will be anywhere near as productive.

Need to plant out the curly kale and write a shopping list since DD1 has run out of soya milk and thus the end of the world is nigh. Also have to go into work a day early as the illegal immigrant phoned in sick yesterday and I have to pick up the pieces. Bah. Have been asked to bake for the Country Market on friday. Quite looking forward to it. Not entirely sure when I'm going to fit it in though since it has to be done tomorrow and I don't have any approved packaging materials. Will figure that out later in the day.

Should one enquire as to how you know about the noise part?

Mmm knitted toys, blankets for charity...... somehow posing pouches didn't leap into my head when I thought of uses for left over wool.

Whooooooo hooooooooo have finally cashed out of pigsback. Its only taken two or perhaps three years. Means £20 is winging its way very slowly to my very depleted Amazon account. Thats one less thing to check on every day.

Other news is rather pants. OH got a long awaited phone call late yesterday. His collegues wife has been moved to a hospice. The end is nigh. Thanks to crappy management this means all leave is cancelled to allow the chap in question to spend as much time with her as possible and then pick up the pieces and figure out how on earth you raise three young children when you start work at 5:30am each day and leave home an hour before that. Wouldn't wish that on anyone. THe knock on effect means the DDs will be accompanying me to work every day this week since schools playscheme finishes tomorrow for the summer. Lack of use means it looks like it won't run next holidays and the nursery aftercare looks like going the same way which means no extra income for me either and no work at all for six others.

Spent far too long at school yesterday admiring the new barbie pink fencing. Pretty sure thats not quite the colour the boss had in mind. Nice to catch up with everyone. Am looking forward to being back there again. I've had enough of holidays.

Sorted DD2s trousers out yesterday, took advantage of a clothing promotion which means taking stuff back later in the week. Final spend post returns is roughly £50. Thats after doubling up vouchers for doggy chow. Booked eyetests for OHs and the DDs. OH needs new specs after the hound from hell ran off and then sat on his other ones. That will wipe out at least another £50 of double up vouchers. Still at least its not cash. Must resist trying new ones on for me. Really I must.

Whilst in town we recycled some books and detoured via the woolshop. Big mistake. Huge. DD2 is now knitting dishcloths and very smart they look too. DD1 found some wool thats fab for leggings although she needs a lot more practice before she attempts them. And I gave in and bought wool for coffee cosies.... seems far more practical in a house full of coffee drinkers. If they turn out OK I'll give in and fork out for the wool recommended in the pattern which is a whopping £9 a ball. Becasue I'm worth it god damn it... but only if I can figure out how to knit button holes.

Further plans for the day involve stitching up owls because I finished knitting the next one late last night. Seem to have found a hobby that OH can cope with because it doesn't involve me ignoring him to do it.

Forgot to clear out the google box at the top of the PC screen so had to explain to OH why I was searching for a pattern for posing pouches. Idle curiousity is apparently not a good enough excuse.
