Why thank you!
Have just dropped the first one off at my friends in readiness for this weekends markets. She thought it was fab too. Planning to start the next one at some point this weekend so should have at least one ready to post by the time school starts back if you're serious.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

That is gorgeous. Would love one too. I can see though that I am way down the list. I want one too! My poor tea pot only ever has a towel draped over it in a vain attempt to keep the tea, warm. But this guy would be just the ticket. What size pot does he cover?I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Ermmm excuse me ladies I have been in the queue for at least 1.5 weeks so stop trying to push in :rotfl:
Actually I don't have a tea pot but I am wondering whether you could do an elephant stylee one as then it would match in with everything else I have :rotfl:

Knitting related shenanigans follow:
EE - elephant pattern here (could do it with or without blanket and rider)
Chev - Postage to you would be daft.... could you knit one yourself? or wait until OHs trip to the UK whenever that may be? It covers a 2 pint pot which is muchly smaller than the one I have although I almost purchased a v. funky red one yesterday but saw sense at the very last moment.
If you really want 'em I need to know where I'm sending them. PMs would help! The more paranoid amongst you might like to use the Poste Restante service which would mean you only need to supply a name and specify a post office address rather than a street address from which you collect it.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Normality resumes ....
Spent several hours wandering round the outlet village. Despite venturing into each and every shoe shop I still don't have any new boots. Apparently I have to wait until October if I want anything other than sandals or school shoes. Hoping the ones I found lurking in the back of the cupboard last that long.
Spent £60 on shoes for the DDs saving £25 on the high street price. Even so they still seem ridiculously expensive. Bought DD1 a very robust new school bag which had been reduced from £120 to a fiver. She spent some of the money she was given by Granny on a selection of hairbands in Claires. Really can't be anything else she needs although I'd conveniently forgotton that we still need to get DD2 school trousers. Pah. Will have to do that at some point this week.
Posted parcels and sorted OHs tax disc thus spending another £170.
Blew the last of my Amazon vouchers on a housewarming gift for OHs friend.
Really need to stop spending money. I hate the tail end of the school holidays. It always seems to be the most expensive part.
Did the vast majority of the ironing yesterday. DD1 helped by doing all the t-shirts. Seems she enjoys ironing. Strange child. Am hoping she discovers an equal fondness for oven cleaning and bog scraping.
Plans for today involve much slobbery and vegginess.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Just practising my ninja moves :rotfl:
I would love a tea cosy <pushes in front of EE> but H seems to have abandoned all tea drinking and become a coffee devotee  Our poor little tea pot is now unused and unloved <breaks out the violins> Still with a tea cosy like that I think it would be a good excuse to break out the pot again
What size pot does it fit? We have a small round stainless steel pot and a huuuuuuge china tea pot.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
