Friend arrived with a huge bag of fresh fruit and veg, an vast array of crafting books and the accoutrements to do them for the sheer heck of it and a pack of these. I haven't laughed out loud so much in ages. Looks like we're in for a great weekend.

Meanwhile much to my amazement the path has been concreted. Still have a giant pile of rubble in the lawn but I can bung it all in a skip on payday. May be the easiest method of body disposal I've come up with to date too.

Hi, Moo. I haven't forgotten you or stopped thinking about you even though I haven't posted for a while. I hope you have a great time with your friend and the DDs when they return. Copy and paste the posts you've written and save them in a separate file - then read that whenever you find you are wavering. You lost your best friend a long time ago, what you've lost now is the hope that he will become the same again. Maybe he will one day, who knows? But for now you have to become your own best friend and be kind to yourself. Lots of people have written their own experiences - it is easy to think "Yes, but my situation is different" - we all think our situation is different, and of course every situation is different, but when you look back you will see that there is a common theme (control, manipulation, anger, loss, grief, and ultimately relief and a better life).

    Have a wonderful weekend.

Morning Moo, glad that you are able to have some fun with your friend and hope that sharing with them is helping. YUK to the floss - made me laugh though.

I think Wordsmith has hit the nail on the head with these quotes.

:eek::rotfl::rotfl: Am not sure I should enquire too closely what you'll be doing on the weekend.

Have been on a metaphorical rollercoaster all weekend. Friend was most shocked and hadn't suspected a thing. Which goes to show just how good a job I've done of pretending everythings wonderful for so long.

DDs arrived home in extremely cuddly moods having had a fab time.

Threw the mother of all super mega OTT wobblies on Thursday after leaving OH for two hours whilst I took the DDs and friend (who was persuaded to join in mistakenly thinking it would be a bit like pilates) to martial arts class. Arrived home to fine wine and cider in the fridge. I exploded. OH was left visibly shaken. Turns out he meant this to be a gift for me to enjoy in his absence. Pointing out that giving tme the thing which had wrecked my life as a gift was about as stupid as it got did not go down overly well. Hes apologised a lot. It seems he hadn't linked the arrival of alcohol in the house with me turning into a grumpy moo in anticipation of the unwanted events to come. Guess thats something he won't forget for a while.

Hes elsewhere for the weekend and we're in full blown girlie mode. Went to a craft shop in the back of beyond. Got very very very loast and ended up in fits of giggles when we discovered that we were heading in completely the wrong direction and only came across the place by accident having driven round it in a giant circle. Bought lots of random bead making stuff. DD1 has made an amazing necklace of gobsmacking beauty for a mere £2.50. Loks just like something she was admiring in another shop at £45. May well be persuading her to make them for christmas gifts. I bought the bits to make a bracelet to go with my favourite skirt but couldn't see the holes in the beads by the time I sat down to do it so will be doing that today having first nipped into school to clean up after holiday club since I forgot yesterday. Knocked up a batch of lemon marmalade yesterday in the hopes of making a teeny bit of space in the fridge. Have been inundated with gifts of fresh fruit and veg from neighbours and a couple of the passing dog walkers that I say hello to every day.

Plans for today involve bracelet making after which the DDs have decreed any and all leftovers to be fair game and willl be making a vast array of stuff with whatever beads they can get their hands on. Have to visit a cash point prior to riding lessons and have about a dozen bags of clothing to drop off at the cash for clothing place as the mega clear out continues. An afternoon of jam making lessons is on the cards as have promised to show friend how its done, after that knitted tea cosies seem to feature rather heavily in the plans although much more interneting needs to be performed to find the perfect one.
