Dental work sounds grim MooBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Morning Moo
Sorry to hear you have so much dental work ahead of you. Could someone go with you in case you collapse and are unfit to drive? It will be worth it in the end but that is a lot of work to have to get done. Did you buy much wool.:)"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream"C. S. Lewis

The world has gone mad.
Spent yesterday assembling excerise bikes, rowing machines and some other gym gizmo scaled down for 3-6 year olds. Why they can't just run on the field or ride bikes on the playground remains unclear. Wasted two hours of my life doing this. Seriously unimpressed.
Seemed to spend all day yesterday at work. Came home, ate dinner far too late, watched enough of The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo to have nightmares and had a truly awful nights sleep. Feel like crawling back into bed.
OHs friend departs tomorrow. Will be glad to get the monsterous offspring back into teir own rooms so theres a chance of one of them being asleep way before 10pm. They're both overtired and grumpy and hes only been here three nights.
Plans for today are minimal and involve a lunchtime nap and very little else. Although its supposed to be gloriously sunny again so may well pootle round the garden pretending I know what I'm doing.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
The world has gone mad Moo...my goodness and they say that there is a shortage of money for education. Let the kids outside and let them play like we did. The next thing you know there will be piped music or a flat screen tv on the wall
Hope you get some rest today. It will be good to get back into your routine with no visitors around."You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream"C. S. Lewis

How ridiculous - they'd be much better off running around outside as you say - better for them (and all of us) in so many ways.

There are already flat screen tvs in every classrom. They're called interactive whiteboards but they're basically a projector and giant screen so you can watch films or live TV on them too.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Seems to be one of those weeks where everything is wearing out. The kettle decided to leak, then part of the boiler packed up and the very odd sized sink plug broke. All of which has totted up to £80. Could have been much worse. Total debt is now sub 4k, technically its sub 3.5K if you include the money in the shiney new savings account.
OHs friend has departed, OH is back at work and I am going to spend the entire day enjoying the peace which translates as doing a gazillion loads of laundry and much sweeping and mopping but without an audience which makes it so much quicker to get stuff done.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Meanwhile I'm virtual shopping. Decided that when I eventually finish the coat (which is a million miles away from being wearable) I'm going to tackle this most probably in a shade of grey or deep plum and I'm v. tempted to make it in merino or some other v. posh squooshy yarn as my celebratory debt free gift to myself.
Debtfreeness is soo close and yet so far. Have decided when the date comes around we're going to invest half the debtbusting cash in long term savings, a third into short term savings and increase both our pocket monies by a smidgen.... although mine will be dumped into an account for frivolously extravagent and totally unnecessary crafty splurges.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
