I'm really sorry to see your update Borik, I hope that you get another buyer (or your buyer gets another buyer) soon.
We finally exchanged contracts on Monday and are completing tomorrow. Fingers crossed our buyers still with their gentleman's agreement of allowing us a day or 2 to move out as we were supposed to have moved last week and couldn't get a removal van for this week. Hubby's work are allowing him to use a van but not until the end of the working day, will make for a long day with 3 kids. They are in rented and paid up until the end of September.0 -
We've had ours on the market for nearly three weeks, we've had one viewing. She was positive about the house, but hasn't made an offer. I know it's only been three weeks, but we're so fed up. Another nightmare journey to work today because we're so far away.
I really must cheer up!saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.
We're 29% of the way there...0 -
I've posted on here a few times so thought I'd give an update with some good news..
We exchanged yesterday :-)
I put my house on the market at the start of April. Accepted an offer mid May and its then taken 15 long weeks of worry to get to this stage but we're finally done.
Completition is on Friday.. Woo Hoo!!! :T
Good luck to all other sellers on here! xx
(i'm now off to join the "buyers" thread)0 -
Accepted an offer nearly 4 weeks ago - they are chain free and so are we (I own the house with my ex and we both now live in rental properties, the house has been empty for nearly 2 weeks).
However we have yet to have a confirmed date of their survey and they are soooo slow! Really nothing has happened since accepting their offer and I am starting to get really worried about the mortgage/bills that still need to be paid out in selling period.
I want to give them til the end of this week to have had the survey done/booked in or we will rent it out, will have to see what happens nearer the end of the week. Can't afford for this to keep running on and on, the buyers appear to be taking the mick a bit!0 -
Hi Kea I suggest you keep pushing to get a survey date. Do your buyers need a mortgage? If so have they applied yet. From my recent experience I'd phone the agents at least twice a week with specific questions and if they don't get back to you phone everyday. I think maybe I'd have heard earlier if I'd kept phoning and asking specific questions that there was a problem.
Good luck.0 -
haven't posted here for a while as I didn't want to jinx things but...
i have exchanged!
woo-bloody-hoo
and completion set for next Tuesday...
I accepted 6k less than I paid for the flat in 2005, but now the lease is only 78 years so I accept that is a big factor.
So, just about 3 months after accepting the offer - exchange is done and as much as I loved that flat, I now just want to get rid...
hurrah!0 -
congratulations to those who have sold/exchanged!! It does give me some hope.
Who knew that laminate flooring could be a deal breaker? After changing agents and dropping the price had three viewings last week. EA came back to me yesterday saying one went really well and they were making all the positive noises on saturday and he expected there to be some good news...sadly no...they had 'cooled' over the weekend and thought that the laminate floor in the lounge was too bouncy!!! well - what can I say to that?!
No viewings yet for this week but I am determined to stay positive - been on market for nearly four months now and my house has never been so clean and tidy! :T

The laminate floor is too bouncy??! It's just crazy at the moment, buyers are so nervey they get put off by the smallest thing! Oh well, better luck for the next one!0

We finally moved into our fabulous new home last Tuesday (23rd)!!! Still no internet until 6th Sept, btu I thought I'd pop on in the library and update
We are loving every inch of our new house
It is worth the wait folks!! xx
:heart2: THANK YOU MARTIN!! :heart2:0 -
Hi, I didn't want to post here before as I've had a looooong sale and was worried it would all go wrong - well it almost did last week!
But we are finally completing tomorrow and I'm up to my neck in boxes. The stuff is going in storage as our purchase is not ready yet - well the solicitor isn't  as the place we're buying is empty and chain free, so we have to stay with friends..... Next time I'll do my own conveyancing, I don't see how I can be any worse?
Our sale process took 4.5 long months, so don't lose hope, it can still happen!0
