So glad to hear that your OH's are safe and well Wendz and Flower. As well as everyone else on here. It's madness isn't it! I so hope they get a harsh punishment, but my cynical side says they won't.

How annoying about the dress tickets Birdie! I'm annoyed for you! I hope they compensate you in some way.

£100 extra is a good amount to find in your holidays spends Shrimpy! My money is actually good at the mo for a change! Got some trousers from New Look - went to the till expecting them to be £22, but they were £6! GET IN! :money:

I've lost a bit of weight this week which I'm pleased with - must have been all the dancing Saturday night haha. (Still can't wipe the smile off my face! Even when ex-OH told me that the bargirl at his local fancies him I was like 'WHATEV TREV!' :D:D)

To be fair.. he sussed that I had kissed someone, and I think it was his way of trying to make me jealous I guess! I felt a twinge of jealousy, but otherwise I'm too happy to be sad/annoyed! I'm sure it'll hit me eventually though.

Ouch Cinny! I'm totally doing that wince where you don't know what the pain's like but it sounds bad, like when boys talk about getting kicked in the whatsits :eek: How exciting about your cheque, whats your plan for spending it? When is it you're wanting to go on your holiday?

Zig don't know if I ever said wahooo for your fab night out, glad you're feeling so chirpy. Same goes for you flower, must be lovely chilling out getting ready for your baby!

A bonfire night baby sounds cool starnac, I had a friend with a birthday near there who lived on a farm and had a big bonfire party one year. Then was thinking, that was fun for us but for the parents, fire+teens+booze...that's pretty scary!

Poppy sounds so cute and dinky wendz, it's weird thinking that I'd love to lose a stone..and that's more than a whole human being (Albeit a mini one) her size weighs

Arrrgh, had a crap day myself. We went into town with our wedding gift cards and my bag got swiped. Lost my phone, handbag and £220 gift cards We have insurance for personal belongings out and about, so hoping to get some of that back. But just can't bear to think of those little swines s w a n k i n g (haha guess what part of the word MSE blocked out) about with our wedding present money

Still way worse things have happened this week, so got to keep it all in context, too.

And thanks everyone I'll take a photo for you if you like Birdie! But the money is for the new kitchen and holiday. We're wanting a new sofa, and tv stand (hence the ikea trip!) too. It's very exciting Plus we're giving ourselves £1,000 each to spend on whatever we want. Mines for tattoos, a kindle. Plus other things, hopefully! :eek: Alongside 2k popped into online savers for cars/winter bills we're hoping to have a couple grand left to put back into my premium bonds. We're hoping to go on holiday next May, I haven't told OH but Rhodes is full of kitties. Heehee! I'll adopt them all! This is my sweet revenge for not being able to bring Sh*tface with me when we moved out. :A

Like I've said, I'm so happy you're happy Zig! You really deserve to go have some fun, and that sounds like a very backward thing for your ex to do. OH was like that when we'd break up. It is kind of sweet to have them so obviously wanting to make you jealous!

Wow, how busy has the thread been. I have been lurking again but have been super duper busy so haven't posted.

Sorry to be a pain, but please can I have a moan? I've had a crappy couple of weeks. OH has gone to Canada training for 8 weeks. I've had 2 power cuts, one for 12.5 hours and the other for 15 hours, the second of which blew up my fridge. Then to top it off my eldest has chicken pox. It wouldn't have been so bad had he actually been poorly with it, but alas no, it is just reason for us not to be able to leave the house, so it has been like having 2 devil children in occupation.

Wow, I'm a nice cheery soul at the moment, aren't I? Adding a wealth of knowledge and humour to the thread after not posting for ages. -Sorry.

I be honest though, quite a few people on the thread don't seem to be having a great time of it at the moment. Is there something in the water?

Great news about the cheque though Cinny, you must be super excited. Not so great about the tattoo ripping.

Birdie - thats rubbish they have mucked you around with the tickets, hopefully you and your mum aren't too upset at not been able to see the dress and you get a proper response from them.

Zig - Loving the fact that you had a pash ( god I hate that word, but I hate snog more), also now hoping that it may actually be a word that is used here and you guys don't think I'm going potty.- Perhaps I should have just used kiss?

CMD - hope your OH is ok, and that his boss has at least apologised.

Lara - Congrats on getting married, I would love to see photos but it may be a bit cheeky as I'm still a random stranger. I really hope your day was everything you dreamed of.

And for the 3rd, and last time I will apologise as I can't remember what else I was going to comment on. - Far too much has been happening.

ETA: Amy, rant away! The girls (and NIM and Poolie!) are lovely and are here for good and bad times. That does sound like a rubbish few weeks Is your OH back soon? What bad timing! Will the council (?) give some kind of compensation cuz of the power cut trashing your fridge, and food I guess?

I hate the word snog too. Is pash an Australian word? Swear I've heard an Australian guy say it before.. Kiss suits me just fine, but say what you want! All means the same
