Oh no CMD, hope he's not in too much pain! Your poor OH. :(

At least with the shares what we've lost is 'only' potential profit, we'll always get back what we've put in which is good to know!

Oh no CMD :( How did it happen? Poor DH! How long until it mends? Just what you don't need in your condition!

Thanks Archers. He was on the way to work and was knocked over by one of his top bosses when he was crossing the road. It sounds like it was the bosses fault. He was carted off in an ambulance and got gas and air as well! He managed to lose his wedding ring (which was expensive) and ruin his new runners. I know money isn't everything but it is frustrating that we have to fork out on new shoes.

However, at least he is alright.

Oh no CMD! Glad he's ok and I hope in not too much pain! If one of the top bosses was responsible you'd think he might compensate him somehow! Very sad about the wedding ring too :( You're right Flower it seems non-stop bad luck round here at the moment, are we sitting under a bad star or something? Annoying about the shares too Birdie but at least you won't lose anything. All I've done all night is faff about on the internet and watch the news, where does the time go? Time for work again soon!

I can't believe he was run over by one of the bosses CMD!!! Where there's blame there's a claim... might as well try to get some compensation, at least to cover the cost of the wedding ring and trainers. Absolutely rotten luck!

Tete I had a faffy night like that last night and the night before! I seem to lose hours that way! I did go to the gym last night though, determined to lose some of the wobble before we go away and I put it all back on again!

Everyone OK after last nights continuing madness?!

You joined the gym then? How was it? I need to go for a run tonight, keep pulling a muscle in my hip (might be my groin actually (!)) but don't have enough time before the GNR to rest enough to let it heal properly so every time I run I aggravate it :( Le sigh.

How's your OH Wendz? Was quieter in London last night from what I gather - just shows what a police presence can do. Watching the Miss Selfridge on fire in Manchester, makes you wonder where the police were - there were plenty of people around - enough to be filming what happened - so why didn't the police stop it? They seem to be there, out on the streets, but not really doing anything. I say get the rubber bullets and the water cannons out, I don't know why they're dithering over it.

Ooh bit of a grumpy morning rant! Hope everyone's ok!

Oh PS - someone's FB status, apparently an actual quote from a Waterstones employee: "We're staying open. If they steal some books they might actually learn something" Hehe :D

Hehe, I saw that quote on Twitter last night, it made me laugh!

I really feel for the police, they can't do right for doing wrong. They're not allowed to go in all guns (well water canons and rubber bullet guns) blazing in case they hurt someone (even rubber bullets could kill if they hit someone too hard/in the wrong spot) but if they stand back they get done for not doing enough! If I was in charge I'd send the army in with loaded guns, if the mob wants to act like feral animals they can be treated like them too and be put down. Now there's a grumpy morning rant for you!

I have joined the gym, we've got a good deal actually; OH was already a member but got his membership reduced to our corporate rate, I signed up and put OH down as a referrer so he gets another £5 off his fee so for the 2 of us it's £45 a month, not bad considering it's supposed to cost £30 each! I actually didn't mind it too much, got straight back into it although I did take it easy last night as I've made the mistake before of getting carried away and not being able to walk for days!
