Sorry you're feeling so much wedding stress Lara. If it makes you feel any better, most brides have to be shoehorned into their dresses, they're not designed to be easily put on, you have to have to 'joy' of someone squeezing you into it whilst trying to cover up your modesty! As long as it feels OK when it's on it's all good. Well done on slimming down BTW, you must be tiny now at 8.5st!
Poppy sounds so cute in her swimming costume! A friend has taken her baby girl to swimming lessons since she was tiny and by a year old (maybe younger?) she was swimming unassisted underwater, I was totally amazed! She's got a photo on her FB of her and the baby underwater with their eyes open and smiling!
Shrimpy, I hate bad cinema etiquette too; it costs too much to have it ruined by noisy people! When we went to see Transformers 3 we were stuck in front of a family, 2 adults (sat on the end ignoring the kids) and 4 young boys, all kicking the seats, passing sweets round, eating really noisily and shouting 'Yeah! Awesome!' every time something 'cool' happened! We moved halfway through the film to get away from them, I was scared OH was going to take them all out for a 'word'! We had a lucky escape in Harry as we were in the premier section and there was a group of boys behind us, kicking the seats (I have no idea how, I stretched my (not short) legs out and couldn't reach the seat in front?) and eating noisy food, they got moved as they were sat in someone else's place and they hadn't paid extra to sit in that section. Phew!
It does sound like you've got a horrid bug Tete, hope you feel better very soon!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Ugh as if this week couldn't get any worse - postman has just been and I've got ANOTHER speeding ticket - same road, three days later!! :wall::wall::wall: I had seen them that time but hoped I'd braked in time. ALso I thought they only got you from behind ... obviously not! Different route to work needed I think!
Sorry you're so down Lara - I'm sure the dress will be fine on the day, don't fall out of love with it! xWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
We figured it was a good idea to take her young to get her used to it!
Some people are so incosiderate in cinemas. At least those boys got moved Birdie, that would have really annoyed me.
Oh no Tete, not a good week for you!!0 -
Oh no Tete! I can't believe that! Someone's obviously got it in for you!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

You are really not having a good week of it Tete. Sorry about the second ticket.
Lara, do you remember me wedding planning? I was so tense I'm sure at times I started levitatting and I stopped sleeping? Well it was actually worth it in the end, we had an amazing day and I'm sure you will too, but yes, I was elated to wake up the next morning not just as Mrs F but more importantly a wedding planning free person!!! I can't get over the ladies on the wedding board on here coming on and complaining its all over, they have nothing to do - go snuggle your hubby woman thats what the party was all about!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

You're so right Dinah! We were talking about it a couple of weeks ago and as great as our wedding was, we don't miss the planning and we don't feel the urge to do it all over again like a lot of people seem to! I felt a little bit at a loose end straight afterwards as I had no more to plan, but soon got over it!
My friend who got married in June is driving me mad, all she can talk about is how she wishes she was getting married again, she hates that no-one's interested in you once you're married (?!) and so on. She's even told a couple of brides on their big days 'I wish I was getting married again'. I can't help but feel that if you're so gutted about how 'flat' life becomes after a big wedding, you got married for the wedding day, not for the fact that you'll be married at the end of it all! OH's friend's fiancee has everything, absolutely everything, planned for their wedding in 2 years time! Last time I saw her she said she was on her wedding dress diet so she'd fit into her dress... who could be bothered to diet for 2 years?! 4 months before, that's when you start to worry!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Depends how much you've got to loose. If you're 20 stone and want to be 8 stone you probably need the two years! Equally her life sounds quite empty if the wedding is all she's got in it.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Lara - my sister was given the wrong size wedding dress (she didn't see the label til after the wedding day, just thought she hadn't lost enough weight). She called me up to the room a few days before the wedding and I had to try and button her up. I honestly thought it woudldn't go up but once we got by a certain point in her back it was fine.
I really enjoyed planning my day but that's maybe cos I got lots of trips to Barcelona and I am a planner by nature. OH loved it too. I like having big projects so missed it when the day was over!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

She's already tiny and extremely fit (she's a tae kwon do instructor by night and a nutritionist by day), so no need to lose any weight as she already has the perfect healthy lifestyle. She's just odd! She told me and another friend that if we have babies by then we're not allowed to bring them with us to the wedding (in Scotland so it's going to a 3 day jobby, costing us lots to be there) which is nice, so the best man and usher have to leave their little ones at home for the long weekend!
ETA: Crossed posts with you CMD! Eeek to the wrong size wedding dress! You poor sister, luckily it fit in the end! :eek:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
