Poolie - glad you have found someone for the flat. I didn't think you had a to pay council tax if a place was empty?
It is furnished so get a 50% discount but it has taken Renfrewshire council so long to sort it out that we haven't paid anything yet since June. Will wait till it is occupied and then sort out with them0 -
Morning all, lots to catch up on as ever! had a great morning due to those three magic words... "on a course"... even smuggled some cake out for this afternoon, yay!
Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better today Tete.
Lara - I love the typewriters, so unique. And your venue looks stunning!

Haha I'm the same Archers (can we call you that? You have a long name!), would much rather be on my own than feeling uncomfortable with people I hardly know
Just spent a couple of hourse tidying, putting laundry away, hoovering and dusting and organising, came to cross it all off my list and annoyingly I'd put 'tidy, hoover, dust' as all one item - how unsatisfying!Feel better for it though: "tidy sock drawer, tidy mind" and all that! Worn myself out though so going to sit down with my crochet for the rest of the evening

Oh dear Tete, lesson learned for next time, list all cleaning jobs separately! I was watching something with Sarah Millican on a few weeks ago and she was talking about lists and she puts 'Write a list' on the top so she can cross something off straight away! She also makes sure that she puts 'Have a cup of tea and a sit down' halfway through too... the woman's a genius!
I'm a solitary luncher too, well, not now as I go home to have lunch with OH but in my old job if OH was off I'd time it so that I wouldn't have to sit with the 12 o'clock lunch crew or the 1.15 arrivals for the next shift. I'd sit down and stick my head in my book, although the number of people who'd ask, 'Good book?' was ridiculous. I'm reading, I clearly don't want to be interrupted, yet here you are, interrupting me! Grrr.
As far as I can tell on the Medicash benefits table, you get a yearly allowance to claim back (differs depending on the level of cover, the one that we're going for gives £160 a year) and it also says that '50% of the annual limit can be claimed towards dental care plan fees' so if you get yourself onto DenPlan you can claim some of the cost back straight away.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Ah I think I switched on at the end of her saying that and I didn't get the joke! I do like her, I'm glad she's a lister too
Transferred another £12 to the Challenge, four lots of homemade lunches last week saving me about £3 each time. Done my monthly-money-moving and if I'm going to be paying out upwards of £150 to the police, I might have to borrow some holiday spends from my Christmas Pot - argh!
Have sorted a couple of bits to pop on ebay tomorrow night. Not sure where the proceeds will go if they sell though!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -

Currently sitting here with a cup of tea, a crumpet and Come Dine With Me in the background while I catch up with everything. Think I might join the £1000 challenge.
