Oooh garden party waitressing sounds good fun Cinny, apart from the rubby old men of course!

I've heard that coconuts can cause an upset stomach as too much can have a laxative effect but I wouldn't have thought that only half of one would cause a problem, unless you're just overly sensitive to it? Hope you feel better soon! :)

I'm not sure if I've been to the Puzzling Place before or not! Definitely interested in going (again?!) though! Although we're planning on going to Wonderworks when we're away which will probably fill the need for mind bending illusions!

I like your plans for changing the punishments for speeding offences Cinny!

ETA: Well done on the money news Dinah! You must feel great knowing that things are going well again! Best of luck for cutting the timeframe down to a year too! :D

Woohoo the challenge must be helping! Sounds like you are very motivated to clear the debt so knowing you I am sure you can do it.

I just did something MSE as well and changed my contract as I checked what i used last month and it was 5 mins and 100 texts lol so changed it to the cheapest one. Will save me £5 a month so all good.

That's good Wendz, all these little extra things really add up! I'm not happy with my phone ATM, the camera has stopped working, the lens doesn't open any more but I can't get in to fiddle with it as it's all tucked away. Its such a good camera when it's working too, better than my Mum's £400 Sony camera! I just registered for the 'free' mobile phone insurance that comes with my bank account (should have done it months ago but kept forgetting!) so in 30 days I can claim on the insurance and hopefully get a new phone. Just gutted that I won't have a good camera in London now, unless I can convince OH (who has the same phone) to switch with me for the weeked!

Birdie, you'll have to use your powers of persuasion! My camera phone is rubbish but I always break digital ones so have given up buying them! I just steal other people's photos from facebook these days!

Good money news Dinah and Wendz! I put £36.98 over from the challenge today that popped into my account, think its a mix of MS and Amazon, my account doesn't show details until the day after for some reason...?

The Garden party sounds fun Cinny, back rubs notwithstanding!

Hope you feel better after the evil coconut Tete :(

    Hi all,

My brain is too frazzled to even try and remember what everyone has said today so apologies.

Wendz/Dinah - hope the preps are going well for the hols

 for the speeding ticket Tete

I have been so so busy at work today. I feel like there is never enough time to do everything. I am just taking a 5 min break and getting back to it!

Max submerged my phone in a cup of water for about an hour this morning. I just laughed - what can you do!!! And about a week after I cancelled the Cover Me Insurance! I got the hairdryer to it and it seems to be okay. Luckily I don't go for expensive phones. If it were OH's iPhone I'm sure he would have gone mad.

Max has his first day trip tomorrow with the creche. I am dropping him off and considering going to bed for the day. Am wrecked!

Hey CMD if you can, take the cover off and put the motherboard under a lamp to dry out gently. Try to put it quite close to a normal incandescent bulb rather than an energy saving one. Hey, I didn't research phone repair in Kampala for nothing, eh?? :rotfl:

All this money talk is making me feel very naughty, the wedding bills keep rolling in and we are miles overbudget... gutted. Lots of holiday chat too, I hope you have fab time Dinah and Birdie too. I think we might have *almost* finished the arrangements... normal life beacons, hooray!!!

How many days till the wedding Lara? I can't believe how quickly it's arrived! :)

Hope you have a lovely relaxing day today CMd, sounds like you need a pyjama day to recharge your batteries!

Shrimpy, I'm a breaker of cameras too. I'm a dropper. I break all sorts, I shouldn't be allowed nice toys because I ruin them! The laptop screen is all fuzzy because I dropped it off the sofa and the lid got a bit loose, not to mention the nail glue on the keyboard! Last night I dropped the stanley knife I've been using in lieu of a flimsy craft knife on my new printer so it's got a lovely scratch on top now. My pink digital camera is now a charming scratched pink and silver pattern as it's been dropped so many times. The only reason my phone is (relatively) unscrathed is because it's in a sturdy rubber case to protect it! I must have unwittingly done something bad though since the camera now doesn't work! I think I need some kid-proof gadgets!

How are you feeling this morning Tete?

Ha ha Birdie, I'm a dropper too! My OH is always making fun of me and we're down to two bread plates... I want new and shiny things, but I live in fear that I'll ruin them :o

Enjoy your pyjama day CMD, you definitely deserve it!

Thanks for the tip Lara. It seems to be okay at the moment thanks to the hairdryer but will try your tip if it goes dead again. You must be getting so excited now about the wedding.

I am also a dropper. I am so clumsy!

Have decided to sit with my feet up for an hour and then tackle the flat. I have a TOIL day on Thursday so can completely chill out then and at least I will have a clean and tidy house.

Funnily enough I've not broken any of our crockery, OH is the culprit there (and he's broken a lot!). I just break the expensive gadgets! Habitat are selling off lovely Monsoon designed Denby dinner services in the closing down sale but it'll still cost a fair whack to get the lot and I'm not sure if it's a good idea as OH felt one of the plates and said, 'Oooh I could break that quite nicely!'. Might get nice plates for me and plastic ones for him! ;) We got some really fancy champagne flutes from my Mum's friend when we got married and we've only used them once as we're so scared we're going to break them, when we drank out of them we were holding them with 2 hands and wouldn't put them down for fear of being too heavy handed and smashing them! They're on a shelf well out of harm's way now!

ETA: Sounds like a good plan CMD, as much as I hate tidying and cleaning, I can't relax when the place is a mess! :)
