Hi everyone! I know a few of you asked me to keep you updated on the situation with the charity I work for. Nothing has really changed at the moment and we're hoping to get some decent press coverage to maybe get some donations (especially corporate ones!). We're also trying to win a £6k prize from NatWest if enough people vote for our nominated project but that's not going too well as only 9 people have voted! Still in the process of writing a gazillion letters to the council and for service users etc to send to demonstrate their support. So much to do! Getting frustrated at the moment that no-one really seems interested in buying tickets for the fashion show fundraiser later in the month as we were hoping that would bring something in!
On a more personal note, not a lot has changed. Still creeping very slowly towards the goal of having £10k in the ISA but that's slow going as also saving up for a holiday in April. Think that's it really for my news. Not particularly riveting!ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -

Hi! Do you mean the petition link that I mentioned a couple of weeks ago? If so, I probably missed a post asking for the link as this thread can move quickly sometimes! If that's the one you mean, I can PM it but just want to check first that's what you're asking first!ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -

Haha! Thankfully I don't need to save too much more towards the holiday ... just as well with the work situation. Think I'll be more or less just back to freelance earnings after Nov-Dec time so the totals probably won't move much after then!ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -
Well a day of cleaning for me today... then feedback on my first chapter from my supervisors :A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0

Sounds like fun Lara...hate having to clear up for visitors but does give you a bit of motivation! Good luck with the feedback.

archersluck wrote: »Yeah, unless it's changed since I last used it. I just do 10 posts a day for 12 days to get 12,000 points. Then spend 2000 on bingo which is their requirement and redeem 10,000 for amazon voucher. I hate myself a bit for the forum stuff as I reallllly can't stand bingo chat! But beggers cant be choosers!
I'll get on that this weekend then. Does anyone have any other sites which are good for earning vouchers?shrimpy_80 wrote: »
Just popped on to post October goals, although I'm still undecided about them 5 days in!
Lose 7lbs (snap Archers!)
Get xmas voucher stash up to £100 (already on £30 with £20 more ordered)
Book first two AAT exams
Do £10 a day challenge (not going well so far!)
Find another 20 ebay items (house already bare)
Get to payout on dooyoo
Be ready to pass driving test (booked for early Nov, couldn't get a date this month)
End month with debt under £3k (I can dream!)
With that in mind, I have an assignment due today which needs checking over, so better kick myself off here to do it!
Happy new shoes Wendz, they were just what I was picturing too, weird!
Oh also - have added £11.51 from Quidco and £5 from reward account to challenge - not sure if anyone is keeping up with it but I'm still finding it a motivation so will ramble on about it still if no-one minds
ETA - Forgot to say, hope all is well with Flower, no sign of her for a couple of days which may mean little Flower is on his/her way...?
Also Happy birthday for yesterday NIM, will we get a cake picture?
Still promise to upload a cake picture, its on my home computer all ready to go.
I'll be starting a new thread this weekend, October goals will be put on the first page, I'm sorry its taken me so long to get it organised.
Crazy busy few days, but I've been accepted to do the MA subject to references. We've also been addressing our financial situation, hence the new thread. Something has to give us the kick up the bum we need, and I think realising we've topped the £30,000 mark did that for us this week. So your support and cheers will be most welcome as always once we post the new thread.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off0
