I am VERY excited for NIMs birthday cake tomorrow. Last year's was a disaster as it was a cheesecake which didn't set in time, I'm hoping this one is good enough to make up for both years.

Last years cake was AWESOME love. Bit rich but V tasty

I'm really excited because I finally ordered contacts today!! I even got coloured ones to make my eyes look a little greener. Just hope I like wearing them, they'll be a lot better for when we go on holiday if I can get on with them!

Always wanted to get a set which change the colours of my eyes but couldnt justify the money, plus my vision is more or less perfect.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Right, it makes no sense in terms of numbers, but I've cut a few 'don't need to be done' things, and got rid of completed things. Today I'm going to try to do those highlighted in red. Which seems like a lot of list.

Okay, I know I added a few more, but I still think I did okay today.

Well this might cheer you up - it's rumoured your man the Taker will be at Vengeance on the 23rd against Mark Henry. My Brother's all excited! Was up until midnight last night watching Hell in a Cell and omg moments. *yawn* But my Brother had a fight with his girlfriend so I didn't feel I could turf him out.

Good luck with your list Dinah! Yours make mine look pathetic all I need to do is work out, tidy the house and cook my parents tea. We're having egg roll noodles - my favourite!

A payrise is still a payrise though, and I'm sure you'd no doubt find a way to claw back travel costs and be better off for it. Fingers crossed for you, NIM.

Was looking over our accounts this morning and I've decided I'm going to start attacking the car savings with full force. We have £1000 in there right now, but I think to see us through all of next years bills we'll need about £2100. I've already future saved £320 towards it (the council tax break, and what we'll have left over in the bill account at the end of the month) so we'll get it done, no doubt about it!

Morning all, as always am reading but not always getting the chance to reply individually! It's all go with the move with 7 more boxes being collected and couriered today and I am making up more as we speak. I am just taking what we need and OH can courier over anything else as and when we see fit.

Zig - I know I said it on FB but I hope you are okay. What a shock and he was such a young age as well. I am thinking of you xxx

Dinah - inspired by your post yesterday (and a bit of good luck in the shape of hefty tax back winging its way to OH's bank account) I decided to take more control of my finances yesterday, instead of whinging about it. So with the tax back, I will be paying off OH's credit card and I rang Virgin credit cards and they have given me 0% for £6800 for 12 months so will transfer my 2 credit cards over. That leaves me paying interest on just 1 credit card and my overdraft so everything feels much more manageable at the moment.

    Hope everyone is well.

Cinny - I really admire the way you deal with money. You seem to have a great balance between treating yourself, saving and doing up the house :)

Was your Virgin card clear or did you have a balance on it? I have a virgin card but mum has a balance on it, would love to be able to get everything to 0%. Evening home alone tonight as NIM is at football, so I am hoping to do a bit of a financial review this evening if I have time (but possibly not as will have 1 possibly 2 MS reports to do as well as the fiddly bits on the list above, depends if I get to the jewellers before I pick NIM up).

I feel a lot better actually deleting things each day off the list, seeing it getting shorter is more rewarding than crossing it off!
