Back to work bonus would be nice, is it a decent amount?
That would be a nice gap between them as well. Do you plan on having 2 or more or are you taking it as it comes? So many questions!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

It's 4 weeks pay (would have been 8 weeks if id been there 2 months longer!) but based on my new hours so 4 weeks of 4 days.
At the moment i would like 3 but depends how i cope with 2 i think!0 -
I think that sounds very sensible Wendz. But yikes to how little you'll be taking home when you're back at work! And they wonder why people say it's not worth going back to work!
Dinah, have you see this new website? Saw it on the news yesterday and thought of you as may be another way of getting some extra pennies if you've got big tools left over from the work on the house?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Aye I read something the other day that's really stuck with me, and that is that if you've planned to have 2, and you feel a pang of sadness amongst the joy watching their first steps, or when they go to school that this is the last time you're going to experience this, then that's a good indication emotionally you'd like another one. If all you feel is joy then emotionally you're in a place to move on to the next stage as a family. Ofc if you haven't planned to have a specific number and don't know if you'll try for more I'd imagine all you'd feel is joy anyway.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Dinah, meant to say the free bingo games I do are $unbingo and jackpotj0y. Hope your aches and pains feel better soon
Eep wendz that doesnt seem much but id look at it as childcare being a shared expense with dh. Plus don't you get free hours when they're 3 so you wont have to pay twice as much when you have another baby, and you've always said how nice your work are which would put me off quitting (not that you said you were thinking about it!). For me I can't see babies for a long time, wonder if ill ever get those broody feelings! Tho may have some health issues that mean they should be planned sooner rather than later, I like to forget about that though!
Birdie I'm so excited for your holiday! What's the weather like over there now?

Yeah we will be sharing all the costs just still isn't a lot more going towards everything than if i wasn't at work! That's the thing if i didn't really like my work don't think i would go back and even though it is small that extra money will come in handy i'm sure.0

I understand where you're coming from on the cost to work Wendz. NIM is the lower wage earner of the two of us, so he'd be bringing in about £380 a month once we deducted childcare and travel. So still worth him working, but it does make a HUGE difference. We've talked about if he'd be better working in our business and doing the childcare, giving us more flexibility for probably not a huge financial difference, but I'd find it REALLY hard if he got to be home with our LO all day and I was out the house 10 hours a day. Plus £380 is still a lot of guaranteed cash.
We pay about as much in debt repayments now as childcare would cost us, so we're very much in the camp that we can't afford a baby and debt.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Very much so, I just don't seem to be in the right mind frame atm which isn't a good thing. I think I'm rellying on NIM more this time to keep us going and he is making a cracking job of the MSs which should be bringing money again soon after the summer break.
Just got an email through to say my car insurance is due soon. This is a bit of a general 'soon' as it's due the first week of December however this email gave me a wild panic! Will need an MOT at the same time as well.
Will put an October Goals post on the first page of the thread this evening so anyone who wants to set themselves a goal in any capacity can start to log them ready for October.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Ours is due in Nov arghh. OH has decided it might be financially better for us in the long run to get a new car (not brand new) with all the problems we had earlier in the year with oursso got to do some sums for that.
Hmm will have to think about challenge.0
