LOL Ruby, I was warned by OH well before we even got engaged that I could do as much planning as I wanted with the wedding but I wasn't allowed to talk to him about it until 6 months before! Was quite embarassing when he saw my wedding planner folder which was full of pictures and I'd clearly spent ages finding photos on line, printing them out, cutting them into perfect squares and sticking them in colour co-ordinated sections! :rotfl: Just make your plans of what you want and let the crazy out in little bits... one day, 'I'm thinking purple...', next day, 'I'm thinking purple butterflies'... the next ' I want purple butterflies and I want to go down the aisle on a unicorn!' etc! Ease him into it! I think the only thing that freaks men out is being expected to organise and pay for his bride's dreams! I'm truly astounded by how little my brother has done towards his wedding, SIL has done it all, the only thing he has asked for is an hour of retro techno (???) during the disco!
Not long left now Flower, I'm sure your lovely little boy will be here before you know it!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Oooh Flower, you definitely have the best October goal
Sorry to hear you're feeling fed up though.
Am annoyed with myself today as I forgot my diary and keep remembering things I need to do which I want to write in there. Also have ticked quite a few things off my mental to-do list, which is good but not nearly as good as physically crossing them off! (And yes, I would write them down purely so I could cross them out again)
All this talk of childcare costs is quite scary, but as OH is showing no inclination whatsoever towards kids or marriage any time soon I don't suppose I need to worry about it!
Need to get thinking about October goals...Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -
Glad all is well with the baby Flower, I am sure you will manage your October goal
.
I have had a chat with OH and although he claims i have given him a heart attack talking about babies i think he agrees it makes sense to to have them closer together.
Love the sound of your wedding book Birdie.

Eep! Yesterdays talk was oddly depressing. In all honesty, I would give up everything to stay at home with my kids. When I have kids that is! But then we don't have debts or anything like that to worry about. Totally different kettle of fish if we did.
I'm a super giddy muffin today, but also piddle off. Man Upstairs is being a grade-A vagina. Seriously! Questioning everything I'm doing and trying to like, I don't know, catch me out or something. He's been doing it for a couple weeks now, it's just.. urgh. Annoying! But still, giddy as two chickens as we're pretty much down for getting a puppy next year and my Zack Ryder tee has FINALLY been posted. I ordered it the day it came out and it's been solid out for stock for 2 months. Phew!
Poor you though Flower! I can't even imagine how you must be feeling. At least the baby hasn't zapped your funny bone thoughSounds like a good challenge to me!
I won't be joining in though, I have a list of October goals already but I don't think MSE is the place for them! Hope everyone has a good day though, I upset OH this morning by jumping on the weights before he could get to them. He got all huffy and said 'If your arms get too big you'll look all butch and I'll leave you.' Seriously now, I've had him on my back for 7 years, he'll have to try harder than just saying he'll leave to upset me!
Oh and TETE where-ever you roam. I had an email from Quidco yesterday to say that they're offering £200 cash back with an iPhone contract through T-mobile (I think) Don't know if that's of any use to you!0 -

Oooh, share anyway, I'm intrigued! (or do I mean nosey?)
Who do you mean by Man Upstairs? Someone at work? Am I being thick here?
I wasn't thinking of just MSE goals either, my main one is to pass my driving test which isn't very MSE at all as I'm booking onto an intensive course in Oct. Had mixed feelings about them but my main issue is that I don't really get out to practice between lessons which sets me back each week. Plus most of the bad feedback I've read is people who've never driven before and want a quick fix, I've had more lessons than I would care to think about so just need a get-me-over-the-finish-line boost, so hopefully it is the right decision. Ho hum.
In terms of other goals, I'm thinking get my Christmas voucher stash up to £100, make x amount of presents (haven't quite decided on a figure yet) and get the debt under £3k - which is quite pitiful but again, due to cost of driving lessons I think even that will be a struggle. Oh, and get to £50 payout on dooyoo - finally!
Hope everyone is well today and that you managed to get some sleep last night FlowerBarclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -
Annoying about the diary Shrimpy, hope you got yourself all sorted and you did write a nice list then cross everything off!
Huzzah to the t-shirt finally coming Cinny, hope it still fits after all the weight-loss/muscle building!
I've only got an hour left at work! Whoop! :j Was having a cheeky look at a Disney holiday forum and found a photo of someone wearing my exact planned outfit! Post #19, bride Mouse Ears and a 'He's my Prince' t-shirt!
